Hey this is a thread for all the players that plan to join the world of PSU on Oct. 24 when it comes out.

Since there's no guild system, me and my other FFXI friend wanted to start our own MSN based guild/Linkshell for PSU. I'm a FFXI veteran with no knowledge of PSO at all, so I posted this message here due to the fact that the other FFXI players like us would see it.
The guild will be about a small group of casual players making a fresh start, and willing to work together to level faster, make more money, and have more fun, and overall make a smooth transition from their previous MMO to PSU.
Any FFXI or PSO players interested can add me to their MSN at regalx @ hotmail .com (without the spaces).

I don't think we'll need a website since PSO-World already provided a Team Meet section for everyone.
But there we'll definitely have our own youtube.com videos since I have a working video capture card on my PC.

I'm interested in playing it, even if only for the free month. You should definately pick up an older copy to see what all the hype is about. It's definately a game to play with good friends.

I don't think it should be catagorized as a MMO. But I used to be a PS fan, so I'll try it on the PC version.

It has a single player mode, so at very least you have a couple of hours of fun.

It's looks like a pretty light game, 3 classes 4 races, free roaming fields, so no fuss.

Yeah, it's a bad idea to think of it as an MMO like FFXI or WoW, it plays much differently.
PSU is an ORPG, so if you're absolutely in love with FFXI, no need to apply here.
But if you're definitely in the mood for a change or a break for FFXI, PSU is the way to go.

I have a friend who recently quit FFXI but is going to join PSU when it comes out. And I myself was thinking about giving it a try as it looks rather interesting. I just hope my PC can run it as it barely works with FFXI as is.

i think it would be like a D2 type game, except more player interactions in the lobbies and etc.

if you guys are going to play you showed join up with us, so that we can all play together. Like I said, it's a casual guild/linkshell, so nobody has to do anything special outside of adding each other to the IM list. But if you do, you'll always have at least one other person you can look up and get a helping hand from if you're having troubling getting that last bit of exp/meseta or trying to increase your rank. Well if I do end up getting it i'll sign up, but as I don't have an actual MSN thing yet I can't sign up yet. I'll post here again if I do get it though. No offense to anyone who's getting excited about this game but i just watched that you tube.com link... and i normally give games a decent chance .. i still hop back on Diablo II every now and then but.. That clip looks awful i don't know what i dislike more the Character models...the battle system? wtf is going on half the time?.. some characters are hitting things their not even facing :S and are lightsabre's mandatory? it would be cool if it was just a few weapons but everything glowing & flashing? even the min map has neons
