For those rdms who happen to have a moongate pass, there are many more Magic Flagon pops in the alcoves of {moon} than in the inner part of Ro'maeve.

I can confirm Enstone II from Magic Flagon @ Ro'Meave. Also can confirm Enthunder II from Hover Tank @ Uggalepih. I also noticed the sort on these doesn't work. They stay at the bottom of the magic list and aren't on CTRL-M magic list at all. Also Enwater II, Enstone II, and Enthunder II aren't even choosable on AH. They're straight up not there. Anyway, I'll try the 4 En 2s I don't have another time. i'm done for today.

I was wrong about the sprinklers - Enwater II drops from Emerald Quadavs in Rolanberry Fields [s], near CN entrance. They're level 65-68 according to wiki, but watch out for Ochu aggro too. Two - count them, two - onyx quadav pop locations in grauberg, and about a dozen people camping them. There's apparently one in Gustaberg[s], too, but IDK if it can also drop the scroll. ---------- Post added at 01:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:15 AM ---------- I got Enwater II up to 38 with just relic hands and AF legs (didn't think to put on my torque, kinda tired at 1 AM). Unfortunately it was lightningday and I only had enwater II, so that reduced it some of the time. It can also be resisted like regular enspells. Base damage appears to start out about the same as enspell Is, and increase by 1 per hit up to *about* double the base damage of regular enspells. I don't know whether +enspell damage items would increase both the starting value and the cap on progressive damage increase.

BG done extensive testing so far; Enspell II's drop of high level RDM (Hover Tanks for Enthunder II for example) and apparently suck ass. Damage seems to cap around 40~ish and it only reduces resistance, does not affect MDB at all (so no powered up nukes). Composure kicks ass though. Adds a flat +15 ACC Linkies: Composure Testing - Order of the Blue Gartr -------------------------------------------------------------------- Off-topic but relevant to the update; SMN update is pure freaking win; you can spam BP outside of range it won't consume the timer or MP so no more losing BP's! The 75 pacts also got a major boost, people reporting as high as 1500+ dmg with 300 TP. Stoneskin from cures seems to be heavily based on what spell you cast and they all have a flat duration of 30s. Sublimation will cancel it immediately after the 1st tick which sucks. Cura and Esuna are so-so without a decent hit taken with Misery up. Sacrifice costs 18 MP and can take up to 3 status effects with Misery (neither Esuna nor Sacrifice work on Amnesia though god damn it) Finally, augmenting gear is done by trading in gear to FoV for an Elite Regimen once a day and results and can only be used on gear up to level 50. LS mate used his sword belt +1, got it returned with STR -1 VIT -1 AGI +1 added to it (at which point he broke into an uproar about having negative stats added to his armor) Not impressed with augments at all >_> (another guy got MND +1 on his spike necklace) they're totally random, can only do it once a day and the buffs seem to suck. I finally got an en-II scroll. Sadly if you are dual wielding, Enspell IIs do not proc on any hits from your offhand weapon. When main-handing a Joytoy the additional damage only applies to the first hit as expected. If you miss the first swing the second swing still gets no added effect. My friend claims he saw it proc twice in one round once which he attributed to brutal going off for a "real" double attack, but I didn't notice it. Damage starts at 17 with 296 enhancing and increases by one damage per hit to a cap of 34. This counter is saved between mobs but get reset when you recast. Compared to Enspell 1 on a Joytoy, tier II still comes out slightly ahead w/o Fencer's Ring and slightly behind with it. 1.5x more procs on Joytoy gives enspell I 29 damage per round on average vs 34 per round from Enspell II. With Fencer's Enspell I's average per round goes up to 36 to edge out the tier II. So it seems tier I vs tier II is situational to your setup. If dual wielding, Enspell II is garbage. If single wielding a joy or justice, tier II is better unless you're using Fencer's Ring. On a single weapon that doesn't double attack, tier II is better. ---------- Post added at 01:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:18 AM ---------- Hmm my Enaero II capped 4 points lower than Karinya's Enwater II. I wonder if there's a power level difference between spells or if it was some other factor. My test mobs were beetles in the basement of Garlaige and it was earthsday so there shouldn't have been anything modifying my damage.

Was about to post the off-hand thing but TM beat me to it. Looks like Enspell II's are a complete fucking waste unless you're using just an enhancing sword. Good job SE, good job... at least Composure turned out great (ppl reporting 14 minute sneak/invisible O.O but sadly no effect on RR though that may just be an update bug.)

Enhancing Sword was clearly a factor when they designed Enpell II. If Enspell II proced on every hit, Enhancing sword would continue to be a overpriced piece of junk and joytoy or DW (or both) woud always be better. Instead, they gave Enspell II a condition and a situational purpose. The situational purpose gives a RDM incentive to single wield to better support other mages and gives Enhancing Sword more value. A new tier doesn't always mean the new tier is outright stronger than the original tier:

The new Enspells are disappointing to say the least but given how low my expectations were I think I'm pretty ok with such useless spells. Heck, they just turned my already awesome Hornetneedle into and even better Ele-slayer. That alone makes it worth the 5k I'm willing to pay for each of the new Enspells.

As I was just saying, Enspell IIs are only barely better or barely worse than Enspell Is on a joytoy depending on your +enspell damage gear. The only time IIs are a "complete fucking waste" is if you're dual wielding. I considered for a moment switching to a single e.sword but I think the lower delay on the Joyeuse would let it put out as much enspell damage as e.sword while still letting me WS 1.5x as often. ---------- Post added at 02:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:02 AM ---------- Actually, yeah Hornetneedle. I may have to pull mine out of storage and dust it off. That knife just got a whole lot better. ---------- Post added at 02:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:03 AM ---------- The thing is they're not useless. They just didn't obsolete the old spells like we expected them to. They're similar in power level but lend themselves to different gear setups. So depending on how you outfit yourself you get to make a meaningful decision about what flavor of enspell matches your playstyle. Dual wielding anyway to crank out eviscerations? Enspell I. Can't safely keep Fencer's Ring active or using a healer NPC? Enspell II. Fencer's+Hollow? Enspell I. Hasty Hornetneedle? Enspell II. I think it's better this way.

I wouldn't say Enspell II are useless under dual wield as long as multi-hit weapons are out of the equation (which is the case 50-69.) They're twice as poweful as normal Enspells, and yes, while they only proc on half the hits, there's still Dual Wield II's Delay reduction which equates to approximately 18% more hits than someone with simply twice the Delay. That means that instead of seeing a virtual 0.5 multiplier over time for proc'ing on only one of the two weapons, it's more like 0.5 * 1.18 = 0.59.

There's also the factor of Sambas to consider. Even a dual weilding RDM has the option to op out of just a little less damage to reap the benefit from Sambas, instead of having to choose completely one way or the other with Enspell I tiers. We just got a whole lot more options with our enhancement damage, and it equalizes our performance a little bit better so there isn't such a HUGE gap between joytoy wielders and single hit weapon RDMs. I do have to say that En II and Composure effectively catches up the middle level RDM's in terms of damage output in parties though. As long as you can get the healing and haste covered somehow, I don't see there being much of a 'debate' left to RDM front lining, just a bit of education. I can finally continue writing my guide now.
