dont know why the other thread didnt work but lets try it again.

i recently returned to Vana'Diel after joining the army and going through the "be all you can be" process. i dont remember much just how to kill things (wonder why ^_^) and was wondering if someone could "jump start" me into the game again. just wanted to know where to go at lvl 19RDM/THF. wonderin if i should solo or find a party and if so where?

The first thing to do is get either WHM or BLM trained up as a sub, I think ... they'll add more to RDM in the long run. At 19, you can probably move to Qufim, but you don't have to yet ... that's right by Jeuno, by the way.

thnx. i was levelin my WHM but died a couple of times and waslike screw it and went back to my RDM. im just tryin to work up to 30 so i can get BRD and fulfill my online role as a multifunctional support element. dont know why but i just rock at it.

Your still going to need WHM for ur Bard! Might as well lvl it up!

i know and im gonna go at it again later. its just kinda hard levelin a whm. they dont have much in the armor department and they dont have many good attack spells even with /blm at the lower levels.

Yeah Whm can't solo very well. Trust me on that. They become more dependant on party play to level. And guess what!? The party depends on the Whm! Win-win situation!

while this is true, nobody parties at the low levels that often. its kinda sad really. i try and party all the time and people are like "are you crazy for partying at lvl 7? your such a noob!" cuz they are ignorant and dont understand how much a party can benefit them especially with a whm healer a war, mnk, or thf. gotta love the dumb people.

Know how u feel, having returned recently from several years break, I have to restart! I was primarily WHM/SMN. This time I'm going RDM, and will need WHM and BLM again, and eventually NIN and DRK by 75.

I'm currently leveling WHM and BLM to 11 atm before hitting up the dunes! Its a dreadfully slow climb, and the empress band helps some for a time but once all at 11 the excellent grouping begins!

This would be much better and faster with a few ppl, or even as a duo, but stupid ppl [as stated above] think its horrible to group before 10. I don't even bother to turn my seek on!

Meh, any job can solo pretty well up until lvl 10. And it's kind of good to do that too so you get a better feel of the job before you get into a party. Even if you've played all these jobs before on an earlier character, it's nice to get a little refresh.

Oddly enough, I recently had a problem of leveling too fast. I was camping a low level NM, and ended up accidentally went from less than 1000 EXP in Lv.13 to 200 EXP in Lv.14 (was too lazy to switch job), while killing the EP-- placeholders.

Now, my sister is mad at me for leveling ahead of her... >_<; (Supposed to duo on that job.)

Lower levels really go by fast. Trust me. ^_^;

Oh, I'm not worried about getting higher level faster! I'm kinda making it take longer on purpose farming bats, goblins and bees! The refresher course is damn helpful for placing my macros where/how I like them, and overall remembering how to play effectively again!

I love the new economy and I'm doing what I can to get enough gil to support myself; till I'm high enough to farm better mobs on my RDM!

wheres this NM! i wanna fight this guy. i could use the exp boost(couldnt we all though). but i wanted to know how you could level too fast? i didnt know that was possible or why you wouldnt want that.

meh, right now, I'm enjoying my return to this wonderful MMO, best out there IMO! While the game is much better at higher lvls, its also longer waiting for some XP locations!

Can't get there either without being able to afford all my spells, as I'm sure u've all experience an ill-prepared mage that didn't have the spells they needed ~ ough thats annoying!!!

yea i hate that stuff. i was in a party with a whm that didnt know protectra let alone protect at level 15. needles to say he was kicked real fast.

Yeah I've seen that before. And I will admit, as Whm I didn't have 100% of my spells. But things like Cures, Protectra, Regen, were always top priority for me. You can let some bar spells slip. Like Barwatera. You really don't need that much at the beginning. If you go against crabs in the dunes it might be helpful, but you can skip them and go straight from gobs to worms.
