It's in his sig, plus he has a high alchemy that he can buy back the ring at a later time (Once he starts to do H. Clusters)

I'm of the opinion that electrum rings are good enough and that you can pocket that 1 million for other things. Astral is not a necessity, it is a luxury, considering you have slightly inferior rings which does the same thing (It's not like Astral has +stat either)

Use the 1 million to fund your alchemy and other sub crafts. The investment will help pave the road for you once you start to branch off into money making synths in alchemy and then that will ease financial burden for the cost of leveling RDM through the 60s (I can assure you, it's not a cheap road in terms of equipment and food)

Small comment, quite often than not, if you chose to use your ring to level your lower level mage jobs you may want to not use your astral rings until you have more than 300 hp, just in case of those 1 shot happiness monsters.

Too many times have I played in the sand in Valkurm Dunes with these rings on... Too often...

On a side note, my mnk died more often than my mages in valkurm. I'm not quite sure why, I think my Tarutaru just kicks too much ass.

Re: The Astral Ring and I

My opinion: Seize the moment. Use the ring now while you have it (or, in contrast, if the ah is trending downwards) and level your intended mage subjobs to 37. That way you'll have them out of the way and your use for said ring won't really be all that significant. Once that's done, sell it and replace it with Electrumx2 or Electrum/Ether, and invest the rest either into equipment that will properly suit you (INT MND gear) or into a craft, if you're into long term but slower payouts.

Using the price of astrals on my server as a basis (900k) the 40k~ish that Electrums cost are insignificant. If you find that you don't use them, it's fair enough just to sell them back, but I have found them to be quite useful when resting to max mp or when converting. Think of it this way, at least. If you do have that 40 mp, you won't lose it when you cure yourself after converting (assuming you immediately switch back to INTMND rings afterwards).

I'm of the opinion that HMP> total MP anyways, so I rarely need the extra MP. It is nice to have during those converts tho.
