Red Mage/Blue Mage Job Combination

So, despite what little we all know about the actual Blue Mage Job, a neat idea had struck me. What if, the Blue Mage job were to come with a new set of "En-" spells? There would be ones for enchanting your weapon to cause extra damage versus various monster types. I don't mean monster elemental weaknesses. By how BSTs solo monsters. Using Plant monsters, versus a weaker type.

But then, if this did happen, how would it affect Red Mage soloing? Could the sacrifice of various other existing job abilities be worth it to deal some 17 extra damage from En-Elemental spells + some 17-30 extra damage with En-Monster spells? As well as the usage of whatever Blue Mages can do.

I think square mentioned something about adding new "refresher" job. I don't know if this points to bluemage or not. Their AF however is very similar to magic-sword master in FF5 so it's very possible IMO that they will get to use en-spells.

Well, it does look a little similar, but I doubt they would give blue magic and sword magic to the same job. Blue mage already has the potential to be one of the most powerful and versatile jobs in the game (depending on what monster abilities it gets).

True sword mages might appear in FFXI some day, but I really doubt it will be combined with blue mages (although it might possibly be an as-yet-undisclosed job in TAU).

I doubt there will be an ability to have attacks against specific enemies like FFX-2; much like FFX-2, once you learn enough of them, you just demolish everything except enemies of no type. Since many HNMs are members of common monster types such as dragons (Nidhogg, Vrtra, Seiryu, Ouryu), beasts (Kirin, Behemoths, Byakko), birds (Suzaku, Roc), etc., if the abilities were actually strong, this would be horribly powerful, and if not, it would be useless. And if the job were reliant on this type of abilities, it would be worthless in emptiness areas and sea (unless it gets to kill those monster types too).

Anyway, didn't the "Killer" abilities formerly have increase damage against monster types, that was eventually changed to the present form? Why introduce a new ability just like the one they removed before? There must have been some reason for removing it...

Blue mages are cool! I usually hate playing them because you have to"aqcuire the skill" and i bet it'll be super hard for blue mages to get parties without getting the good skills.
