Approximate Formula for Shell I-IV, MDEF+, and Magic Defense traits

I've posted some research I did earlier today at a Fafnir camp regarding Shell I-IV, MDEF+, and Magic Defense over the in the WHM forums. As RDM also possess these spells, traits, and items, I'll link the post here so that the RDM community here can add any further clarifications, datapoints, or comments.

I wanted to, but couldn't find anyone in the Aery who wasn't busy fighting that didn't have a /WHM sub.

I'll see if I can't find some hard numbers on someone with no Magic Defense traits soon though.

Are you certain that wing spams are consistent dmg? Regardless of proximity. Hopefully it wasn't faffy wasn't running around but just asking.

Absolutely rock solid certain that it is consistent, at least pre-rage update. Proximity definitely has no effect on Hurricane Wing's damage.

Only variation on area spread damage are Breath attacks if I remember correctly.
