white or black Sub ?
whites get to cure status disorders and gets the important silent spell , it seems to be a white-only debuff spell , and gets better healer power while blacks have slightly more mp and more nuking power.
which of this 2 subclasses is better ?

or do all high lvl redmages train up both classes as sub to cater to different PTs and training locations.I did a search on all high-level RDMs and found an almost equal number of rdm/blms and rdm/whms.

It really matters what you want to do. Redmages have higher mind, so with a sub whm, their cures will be even better. But if you get blm, you get more mp and your black magic should be a bit better.

If I were to choose, I'd probably go with white, because I would rather have the area effects instead of some more black magic. Red mages are pretty much supporters, so having protectra and shellra kinda adds to that. But again, it depends on what you want.

WHM sub = Good when fighting monsters that use annoying status spells. Examples would be Skeletons that use Blind, Tigers that use Paralyze, Mushrooms that use Paralyze, Ants that use Silence, Crawlers that use Poison.

BLM sub = Good when you're fighting monsters that don't use status spells in parties.

I have both WHM and BLM raised so I can switch according to what the PT leader wants.

Few notes, RDM gets Silence too, at 18 instead of 15 I believe.

Also, I'm 99% sure RDM has an equal MND and INT growth. I'm a Hume RDM and my MND and INT are the same without sub.
