Re: OMG a RNG topic
If I'm not mistaken, with those new Recycle Pants that came out you could push 30% Recycle (even more with Scout's Beret)

That's pretty bitch'n IMO.

In a farming/soloing situation, then yeah, its pretty sweet. I might be a little irked if I invited a rng to a meripo party or if a rng showed up to an hnm camp and used it, though.

Re: OMG a RNG topic
I use demons generally for most stuff because their dmg is decent and theyre cheap. For stuff you want to but your best foot forward on, I use Kaburas.

Recently, I've backed off on archery and went marks since it shares merits with my COR.

recycle doesnt really appeal to me. it's not like you truly save money. you already paid for that stack of ammo... when you buy that stack of ammo, you WILL end up using it sooner or later. It's not like you can sell back those ~20 pcs of ammo you saved from having full recycle merits/equip, it just means you will use them later on the next thing you do.

You'll go through your ammo more slowly, and therefore spend less money attacking over any given period of time. That's saving money no matter how you cut it. Saying that you'll go through the stack anyways is the equivalent of saying that Increased Meal Duration doesn't save money at all because the food will run out in the end either way.

By your logic, the only way to save money is for Recycle to make you never use up your ammo at all.

Re: OMG a RNG topic
So I log onto my RNG mule for the first time, I see he has nothing really aside from AF and EBow, I can see from dbox that Flame Rings were taken already, no biggy.

I open his storage in sandy and find Hellfire+1 and OBow, lol. Imma like this character.

Unfortunately I got almost nothing for the main 5 slots, trying to round up some basic crap like W.Hands/S.Kote/War Beret/Brais/Boots before I actually try it out.

Screw War Beret - Wyvern Helm or O-Hat (if he has O hat, anyway).

War Brais are kinda LOL, barring any Pahluwhan or Dusk Trousers, get some Jaridah legs at least.

Deadeye Gloves until you can snag some Wyrmal Hands and O-Kote. That or Jaridah hands or just the Noct Hands, I suppose, would be passable.

War Boots are doable, but any STR option for feet works just as well, too. Rutter Sabatons, RSE feet (if his race has STR for feet). Anything really works on feet.

Re: OMG a RNG topic
Hachiryu sune-ate is good.
But if I have Skadi's Jambeaux, I'll just pick Skadi over Hachiryu.

Haidate is the best one out there, but good luck popping lolT5 ZNM. I still even have trouble with some of T3 ZNM. T4 one is definitely a serious fight. I saw 1 full alliance wiped at Hydra at 95% HP lol

5/5 Flashy is retarded IMO. Flashy should just be used on zerg, not in consistent basis.

Thanks,

Re: OMG a RNG topic
I think some of the Zenis had "LOLTPburn" written into thier code. It actually is kinda refreshing these mobs don't work the same way as stuff elsewhere and don't take it lying down.

Even Lil' Apkallu - while not terribly hard - seems to make a point of mocking us as players by sleeping everyone and then running about in different directions. Chigre is all like "lolEvasion" and beats the fuck out of THFs with capped evasion and tons of evasion gear with 100% accuracy.

I also kinda found it funny that HNMLSes here and there were suddenly like "OMG we need RNGs and BLMs" once Dark Ixion and Zenis were added. I'm hoping they keep adding HNMs like Ixy and more stuff similar to Zenis/Doomvoid NMs, this stuff seems to have put people back on thier toes.

Re: OMG a RNG topic
It's too bad the Hachiryu Body doesn't really do anything for RNG outside of the critical hits +5.

However, I'm curious about how much Store TP this set adds since no one seems to have all 4 pieces yet (or at least hasn't put up any test data on wiki). For all we know it could give a RNG a 4 or 5-shot build (well, 4 is extremely unlikely without a COR and SAM but it's actually possible right now >.>b)

Yea, unfortunately no Optical Hat, going to start farming eyes tonight since my LS is going to do a run soon anyways. Grabbed a Wyvern Helm for WS but still need something for TP/Barrage, that's where the War Beret comes in.

This is basically all that I have at the moment, I got left some really nice stuff in terms of weapons but most the other slots were bare. W.Hands and S.Kote were basically freelot in my LS so I hopped in line for those.

RNG Stuff

He also quit well before WotG so I gotta go buy a PC copy of it for the access key, lol

Re: OMG a RNG topic
One of the things I wish SE would do is give us another alt bow for E/Sbow. Cobra Unit Bow would have been the ideal choice if it freaking had +RATK. If the Cobra Unit Bow had +20 RATK I would use that over my Sbow. >.>

Re: OMG a RNG topic
Yeah, while I was happy with what I inherited, I was kind of 'wtf' at the fact that I inherited a character that quit over 2 years ago, and still got pretty much the best buyable weapons in their slots. Kind of nuts that nothing has really been added to trump them in that time frame...then again that's like the Ridill issue, while nothing has been added to beat it in years, it's questionable whether or not there needs to be something more powerful added that isn't a relic because it's still a damn strong weapon, especially in the Hellfire+1 case.

Re: OMG a RNG topic
The thing about Hellfire, even +1 is that with the addition of Snapshot and Velocity shot, the O-Bow and V/E-Bow draw greater benefit from the effects. Hellfire was slow before and now it just feels slower.

Re: OMG a RNG topic
I haven't sat and actually done the math, but I want to say if you geared right as RNG/SAM a 4-hit would be possible with it. I think imma do that later today, because that would be pretty nuts.

And while I see what you're saying, really that's more of an issue with Gun overall, it's slow but puts up big numbers; I believe that's intentional and not something they'll be changing anytime soon.

Re: OMG a RNG topic
A four hit is entirely possible, I've done it on COR/SAM, but that was with Samurai Roll on Lucky or 11. Might be easy with a couple pieces of CU gear and Rajas on RNG, though you might not even have to go that far.
