OK, I know about the Latent Effect needing to wear off, I just need to know if EXP is required from the mob to break the latent with WS and SC. I've had this damn thing for months, closed countless Light SCs and it just won't break.

Gun of Trials is going to be so much easier if I do it on COR

In order to break the Latent on any of the Trial Weapons, the Mob must be EP or higher.

All WS's and SC's to gain points towards lantent breaking has to be performed on Easy Prey or above. (e.g. has to or be able to award experience points)

The mobs have to con Easy Prey or higher to you only. It still counts towards the total if there are higher level players in the party that cause you to get no experience.

So you don't have to get exp from them, but it needs to be possible to get exp. Meaning basically you can't break the latent in dynamis or limbus as none of those mobs yield exp.

Ugh, really wish I could solo this, but the bow is such trash its not practical.

Why would the Gun be any easier? You'll have to do the same thing.

How to remove the latent effect:

* You must perform Weapon Skills and Skillchains on monsters that con Easy Prey or higher.
* You receive 1 point for opening/soloing a weaponskill, 2 points for closing a Lv.1 Skillchain, 3 points for closing a Lv.2 Skillchain and 5 points for closing a level 3 skillchain.
* You must accumulate 300 total points.
* To check to see if the latent effect has disappeared, simply unequip and re-equip the Bow of Trials and if you do not get the bonus stats, you are done.

you do get points on mobs that check ep even if a cfh is used btw broke my latent dagger on a cfh mob last night . Breaking latents really does suck tho ive soloed Retribution, Blade:Ku, and last night Eviscreation.

I'm glad I knew a SAM74 to partner with me for Darkness skillchain. It didn't take too long.

Again, Joyeuse + Samurai Roll with COR. Faster TP, more WS opportunity, less TPing with bullets. Plus all I have to do is play DD COR in EXP/Merit. And factor in /RNG and its really no contest. Its much easier.

Bow of Trials is garbage in EXP, Gun of trails is better DMG than most Guns COR can use, with exception of Martial, Corsair Gun and Coffinmaker

You'd still have to partner with someone to close Light Skillchain to get max points per skillchain.

Club: Black Halo (230_
Blue Magic: Ram Charge (73)
Dagger: Shark Bite (225)
Hand To Hand: Dragon Kick (225)
Sword: Savage Blade (240)
Great Sword: Spinning Slash (225), or Ground Strike (250)

Any of the above needs to open the skillchain for you to close with Light Skillchain and get 5 points.

hmm well retribution didnt take too long did it drg/whm on eps while soloing

Blade: Ku was easy just stayed in the boyhada tree solo easy crabs, killed Aquarious x2 while breaking latent.

Eviscreation 97% of this was in Ro Meave off handing garuda's dagger for silence on weapons made them hit very few times and was getting 2-3 ws a mob . Did it in Ro Meave because i was trying to link shik weapon for my friend since we had no clue on a TOD. All and all this took like a week on and off i was dedicated to breaking it just when i had free time and was bored.

lol ty. I've trying to solo on Colibri, but the pecking flurry and feather tickle to too painful, I need to find something else, maybe i'll try birds in bibki bay. I remember there was some EP mob that didn't give me much trouble. I just need to remember which one it was.

EDIT: Nevermind, just broke it on the last colibri.
