New RNG merits

Any merited rngs have any word on Flashy and Stealth shot?

I am particularly interested in how much negating level penalties works out for Flashy shot.

Well if it works like the change to Sharpshot does with negating distance penalties on accuracy, then Flashy shot should get RNGs damage back to the way it was before that change (almost).

As long as you are in the right distance the damage should be like it was before even with mobs with levels high above yours.

Re: New RNG merits

well flashy is a 1 time use. most likely when you want to go big on a sidewinder/slug.

i can see stealth shot being used for when you want to do something mid fight. say barrage + stealth shot mid fight?

Re: New RNG merits

Yeah, I found some info on it from people who tried it on allahkazham fourms. Some guy was able to do 1k or so and not pull any hate with stealth shot, a pretty handy ability.

Re: New RNG merits

anyone here have flashy shot yet? any info?

i skimmed through KI and it looks like its a decent dmg boost, however, at full merits (3 i believe) the cooldown is just down right shitty.

Re: New RNG merits

Yeah, 20 min cooldown at first go, with 2.5 min reduction thereafter. can get it down to 15 mins, which is bad. Naramaska on KI used it on JoL tonight and was getting 300-400 more damage on Sidewinders. With double min and an attack build they had a SW for over 800 dmg. Its definately nice if you do HNM's routinely. However, if all you do with rng is meriting and other xp type stuff, its really not as worth it, since the level difference isnt enough to make a huge impact on your damage. Also heard that accuracy seems to be pretty high with this JA. (Maybe pre-nerf accuracy too? )
Snapshot would be nice, if it weren't capped so low. With a max of only three merits, including the one that starts it, you can only get 6% haste on your shots. I'm figuring at some point they'll increase the cap and you can take it to a minimum of 10%, that might be worth it, but 90k limit points for 6% haste? Seems a little excessive.

Re: New RNG merits

now the thing is whether snapshot really act like haste+2% per upgrade or something like "Dual weild"+2 per upgrade.
If the later is the case, given you can reduce the delay as much as you want, there is some point you want to stop reducing the delay (below 530 delay). because it will kill the TP gain

Well with a weapon of a delay of 999 to be around 530 means a 47% haste, at 600 means about a 22.5% Haste.

Though my intrest is the overall Snapshot + Rapidshot if you got rapidshot upgraded so it's activating more frequently then snapshot even of 6% should support you well.

Re: New RNG merits

If the fight is pretty long and you don't move around, then snapshot may be a good idea (although it's benefit is very minimal). Otherwise, if the fight is short or you move around so often, snapshot give close-to-zero benefit.

Assuming delay/second for ranged is 85, EBow + 90 delay arrows will done the 11th shot while Selene's Bow + 90 delay arrow just finished it's 10th shot. And that's what it'll look like from 50 delay difference weapon

Re: New RNG merits

Based on a post in KI by Lothriel (sp?) Snapshot doesn't affect TP gain. Seems to be a true haste.
