I took a break from ranger after the nerf to lvl some other jobs and now i think i wanna make a comeback, at least for a little while. I took monk all the way to 60 from lvl one and havent seen more than maybe 3 rangers in all my pt's on the way there. So my question is, is ranger still the fun job i played a little while ago? Just asking for some input on the thoughts of some rangers in the game now.

I have been a ranger before and after the nerf. I liked the prenerf better as the acc seemed better to me (that and i kinda miss the extra tp from the dagger swings). Over all is still nice, just need to find that "sweet" spot. I dont know about other rangers but this seems to change for me from mob to mob and weapon to weapon. Mind you i only use x-bows and bow (dont like guns ><) and will be going strickly bow when i hit 70-71 and never see an x-bow again (i hope).

I still only sub nin, but that is cause i pull for my static and i still prefer it even when i am not pulling (bcnms missions ect.) mostly cause i like having both the axe and dagger for the acc and att /shrug, is a personal preference and the only one that out damages me (and not by much) is the blm on bursting (in terms of DoT, including the free nukeing). I am elvaan and holy bolts rock. Acid bolts should not be used in pulling imo, i wait until i hit the sweet spot (for me i prefer hitting more so i get into a spot that i can do 3/5 hits) then i switch to the acid bolts until i get the def down effect and switch back. I have darksteel bolts macrod in for my barrage as well as the Gold musketeer bolt macrod for my unlimited shot and ws (which is really nice)

Thanx for the info and reply. I figured it wouldnt b that different i just felt that as there were so many less rngs around maybe the job went stale but ima pick it back up soon. ty^^
