Killed an Evil Weapon in Sauromugue with Repeating Crossbow + Bloody Bolts (at full life, no damage taken). Evil Weapon dies after 916 damage.
Killed another Evil Weapon with Repeating Crossbow + Crossbow Bolts. Evil Weapon dies after 1507 damage.
Sure, there may be some level variance, but it's not going to give one weapon nearly twice the HP of the other. And what's more, could one of those weapons really have only 916 total HP? That's just out of the question. | Centurio X-I 1/1 - Celphie 1/1 - Deadly Dodo 0/2 - Doppleganger Dio 0/1 - Jaggedy-eared Jack 0/7 - Joo Duzu the Whirlwind 1/1 - Leaping Lizzy 2/16 - Mimas 0/1 - Odqan 1/9 - Orcish Wallbreacher 0/1 - Ose 1/3 - Sagittarius X-XIII 1/1 - Serpopard Ishtar 3/6 - Silk Caterpillar 1/2 - Tom Tit Tat 0/2 - Trickster Kinetix 0/2 - Valkurm Emperor 6/10 - Wyvernpoacher Drachlox 1/1 | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-15-2006, 05:23 PM | #2 (permalink) | | From Beneath You, It Devours Super Moderator Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Texas Posts: 3,413 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 41 Thanked 143x in 101 Posts Gil: 15,326 Bank: 41,843 Total Gil: 57,169 Donate | Re: Test: Bloody Bolt damage when user is at full HP Thanks Dan.

I'm still trying to conceptualize how to execute such a test; I need to fight mobs strong enough not to get one-shotted, yet weak enough that a 10-20 point shift in the stat being tested for (probably either VIT or INT) makes a noticeable difference.
I also need some way to remove a lot of my own HP as quickly as possible. I hesitate to do it through fighting, as weaker mobs will take forever and stronger mobs could kill me if I miss a few bolts. Or items with -hp & take off the -HP item to test. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-16-2006, 01:13 AM | #7 (permalink) | | X's General FFXIWiki Team Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: Puerto Rico Posts: 2,852 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 220 Thanked 703x in 377 Posts Gil: 44,788 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 44,788 Donate | Re: Test: Bloody Bolt damage when user is at full HP That's good to know ^^
Souleater and a quick weapon could be used to remove your HP, if you have DRK levelled. Looking forward to your test results. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
