Other thing you don't want to forget Ranged Attacks are not RNG only a lot of other jobs can use Ranged Weapons too, only thing /RNG really gives is a few perk abilities and WS use. RNG main get to use Barrage in a few BCNMs that others can't but most that can be done with RNG don't really require the use of Barrage to work so just about anyone that can use a Bow/XBow is nearly just as good for doing the same thing.

EDIT:

Don't Forget about the Master Caster's Bow right at this level with when RNGs damaging potential that was once exclusive to them pre-71 is now accessible to DRK/PLD/SAM/WAR.

And of course there's many XBow weapons that let THF get some really good XBow damage to match a RNG again around 71+. Then NINs too if money wasn't a subject could flood with Shurikens and cause the same result.

Oh I can see the shouts now:

{Ninja} shuriken burn {Party} {Do you need it?}
or maybe
{Ninja}/{Black Mage} {Ninjitsu} burn {Party} {Do you need it?}

The fun times that you could have!

Lol, would love to see that in Lower Jeuno.
Thing about nerfing ranger like has been mentioned is its actually the ranged weapons that do the dmg and those are available to multiple jobs. SE, from what I've noticed, only nerf jobs when they are being abused in ways not originally intended or when one person can be a party if they want. (Ninjas holding hnm's for hours on end) Multi rng parties are a group of mostly rangers but still require other jobs. As I understand it, Monk parties in the last few lvls are unstoppable and get xp rng parties could only dream about. Not only this, but even though we can certainly give hella-dmg, we sure as shit cant take any. Even with utsusemi we still get bitched we pull too much hate. Our defense sucks, evasion blows, and most armor is for r.acc or r.atk only and is about affective defensively as a cardboard box.

There are at least 2 Level spots you can exp at higher levels. Newton and Uleg* Range.

The Range supports Mob in the IT Range up to 75, but whenever i'm there noone except a few bsts are in there.

And it's not very much further then Bibiki Bay.

And i think Lufaise Medows has an Area for 70+ too. I dunno about Sea, since i don't have this access. Pso'Xia Uncapped might be have something in it as well.

Newton is only good till the mid-60's.

Truth is, there just arent that many places to level at 72+. As soon as someone hits 74, hardly anything is IT. For me, unfortunately, I almost always get into parties where at least one person is 74. Ru'avitau weapons are great, but at 74 you get a lot of kills that reward you with 90-110 exp.

What SE needs to do is make some level areas with higher level mobs specifically for level 74-75 to exp, or do merit parties. I'm talking mobs that are level 83-88... not the cap at 82 that all other mobs seem to have. (Aura statues ~may~ be higher than 82, but I'm not sure)

In Oldton if you warp to Mine Shaft #2716 then zone out into Newton and camp at the zone line there, that spot can support a 68-70 PT.

lv75 mnk, rng, war "fast chain" pts are all about the same really, no way mnks can get rngs "only dream about", I've made 11k/hr in a rng pt, and we werent even all 75. I was rng71, and one of the others was 73. As long as your puller knows how to make the chains last longer, I dont see rng pts being any worse than mnk pts.

Gman you read the part about Uleg Range? I guess you didn't, since that is a IT+ Area. For a lv75 it was in the uppermost part with the King Buffalo still IT. But i know, noone want to take risk.

Ninjitsu spamming party with all NIN/BLMs or 5 and a Bard would probably be incredible on certain mobs if everyone had good gear for it. This would probably be some of the most expensive exp you could get though.

I read it, just forgot about it when I posted. Pain in the ass to get to, but I suppose it may be worth it for good exp.

I believe those birds are 1 or 2 levels lower then the weapons at ro'maeve, so you can probably level there 69-73.

I don't know which homo started this "arrow burn" and "mana burn" crap but stop it. It's gay. It's BLM party and RNG party. Why give homo names to things that dont need them?

There is no problem with the current situation. Ulgerland Range is by far one of the best xp spots yet under-used. Also the new addition of Sea area's also have some allright xp spots where you can chain for a while.

really this again...

/sigh

rng doesnt need to be nerfed, everyone else needs to spend less time thinking about other jobs and learn the strengths and weaknesses of their own job.

we have our set backs, its not all glory being a ranger.
