lol, love that quiznos avatar.

You should build up axe as you level warrior. You get enough chances to build up dagger as a rng that it won't matter. You won't get to use axe much till lvl 63 if you sub war.

From 28 on, yes, for archers/hawkers knives.

I think until then axe is probably a better weapon, but you definetely should keep dagger skilled up even if you're not using one. It's pretty good TP gain on mobs that you can melee against, even if you're not doing huge damage with it (Dagger.)

For RNG itself you'll hardly use your Main weapon to much, you'll probably use Ranged weapon more then anything. The main and sub positions are just nice to add in other stat bonuses like an Archer's Knife, Hawker's Knife, or Hawker's +1 for accuracy bonus. There is an axe you can wield too that gives you "Regen" can be a nice one to collect too.

Other then that not to often you'll use your main/sub weapons to actually damage. Then again it all depends on how well you can keep up on the arrows.

That axe and francisca are quite nice. But from everything I've seen, RNG doesn't even get a rating in axe... Do they really get the B rating? If so, I'm going to raise it some in my next skill up party. Last time I tried, I didn't get any skill ups so I figured what I found about RNG not getting a rating in it was correct.

My main source is this: http://www.all-final.com/ff11/skill_chart.htm

Rangers get a nice rating in Axes. (same as dagger).

That being said, Fransisca swings do 20-50 damage (90+ if crit) so its a very nice supplement to your arrow attacks, not to mention it is not too slow so its ok to wait for a swing inbetween shots.

I'd keep axe and dagger both leveled. Once axe caps, switch back to dagger. Just because once you hit 63 you don't want fransisca being too weak and can't hit anything for TP gains.
