CHR? O.o AGI, DEX, and STR affect it a lot. AGI makes up your racc, DEX your likeliness to critical (not sure if it applies to weapon skills), and STR helps determine raw damage. No idea wtf CHR does though in all that... nothing I think.

Can't confirm, BUT SE DID say that it affected SOME WS. My bet is that the Seraph/Light WS's are the ones where CHR makes a diff. It would explain the friggin huge DMG on some of them. (Mutter's about WHM's hexastrike...) I'm pretty sure Sidewinder/Slugshot are not affected by CHR, since Galka, Mithra, and the rest seem to do the same DMG more or less.

If you want SW damage I would be more concerned with base weapon damage and attack. Oh, and missing. Missing sucks.

chr doesn't affect sidewinder at all. 0 influence.

He's like the rng that says Str doesn't affect gun damage.

only reason CHR is on the weapon, methinks, is because BSTs are the only other class who can use it. NO CLUE why because you never see a BST wielding one as it sucks compared to axes, but I think that's the reason.

Here's the deelio.
WS's are somewhat affected by stats. For example impaction-type WSes get's bonus from DEX.

This is what SE stated in their interview a while back, that stats that may seem useless (for instance, CHR) can affext WS damage.

My conclusion came from the REALLY weak Sam WS Tachi: Goten, which really sucks. I did ok with it, thanks to mithra high dex, and did about 10 with, and 10 without +7 dex. The ones with +dex did higher damage.

Might have been a fluke, but same ws on same mob (quifim clippers, weak to thunder, so no resist ^^) should generate similar results. The difference was around 50dmg.

Well. There it is. Now you just have to look up what stat corresponds with what element. Like Vit - Earth ^^.

They did say that some WSes are affected by CHR, but nowhere in that interview did they say that Impaction-type WS are affected by DEX. If this were true, Viper Bite would be affected by VIT.

Please provide a link to the interview with the Impaction claim.

I think it's plausible but haven't seen any solid proof.
