Eurytos' Bow or Demon Arrows?
I won't be able to afford to use the Eurytos' Bow with Demon Arrows, but I would be able to with Scorps.

I will be able to afford War Bow +1 or Sarnga plus Demon Arrows.

What would you choose, and why?

E-bow. Initial investment hurts, but the upkeep cost is a lot lower, and it's more useful in farming or whatnot. I'll probably get a sargna whenever I get there as well, just in case I need the acc, or something with lower damage output for some reason.

Plus you can just use demons for sidewinder & scorps regularly if you want to keep costs down.

The other thing is, demon arrow supply fluxuates (at least on my server) where as scorps are at least constant from day to day.

I just got Eurytos Bow and I think it is worth it.

But like if you only have 4 million and have no really good way of getting gil.. in other words your going to be broke and struggling for cash I wouldn't recomend it.

It helps a bunch with farming, the Ranged attack and extra damage gives me 40-60 more damage per shot on low level mobs (tabar beaks). My barrage and sidewinder whipe them out (sidewinder always did =P but barrage would sometimes leave them with one or two shots of HP left) and I can finish them off easily before Shadowbind wears off (this is using beetle/iron arrows).

This is such a helper now I never get hit unless I have no job abilities or WS ready.. which is rarely.

Your not going to notice like 50% more damage with Eurytos bow.. so I guess it really isn't worth 4 million as far as how useful it is. But it is the best equipment you can have at 55 and so it was worth it to me... (my only gripe is it is a clone of War Bow and has that ugly sea green color.... oh well I guess my dreams of a pink bow decorated with rhinestones will have to wait.. :p jk)

I wouldnt say im a poor ranger but Im not high class eiether im towards the middle... I dont have leaping boots or the hairpin but if I wanted to take the time to farm i could get one of them in a week. But if i were you i'd buy the bow and use it and when it comes down to selling it hopefully inflation will occur and you'll be making a profit if anything.

I haven't purchased the bow yet, and until the price settles I don't think I will.

The price was a rock solid 3 million gil for some time, give or take 200k, but since the 5th of May, it's gone from 3,200,000 to - get this - the last one selling at 5 million.

I've seen this crap happen before, and I may have a lot of gil right now, but if I drop 5 million on this thing and it goes to 3 million two months later I'm going to be pissed.

Just can't bring myself to do it ; ;

i hear ya.

The price on midgard was a solid 2.5m.... I had just enough to buy it.

The next one sells for 3.2m, then 3.5m, and it just keeps going up.

*shrug*

The price will go up, not down. More and more people (see EN) are leveling RNG and have the gil to buy it, while the number of bows sold will not increase.

I don't know. A similar item - the peacock charm - has gone all over the place: you could always secure an easy 3 million, but sometimes 2.5, and others a whopping 5 million.

I'm sure I'll get one eventually below the 4 mil mark.

Here is the thing about Peacock charm and Eurytos bow and their price.

When people get them as drops the price goes up (usually because people are splitting the price and can wait a long time), since more people are getting to 55 now there is more of a demand (still not huge because luxory items are not standard).

Where you get the price break is when people are selling them and want to sell it quick, on Asura it has gone down to 1.8 mil in April... It also goes down after new equipment is released. When the new dynamis bow was realeased a bunch of bows went on the market and the price plummeted.

It is going up on Asura now due to people being impatient, people will lower their price after it is sent back to their mog, but some people cant wait and so the price has been going up by 500k each bow. I just decided to buy at 4 mil before it went back up.. sure in a couple of weeks it will be back at 2. But I just couldn't wait that long I wanted to level and when I am done with it I will sell it back for 5 :p
