| Junior Member | What ammo do you use to farm?
I always farm with my monk/thf. But I think I am going to start with my RNG as it is only a couple levels lower. I usually farm in Beadeux (old quadovs, NM, and when I go with friends Iron, Elder, and Emerald). RNG/THF I hear this is a very good farmer but I mean you are spending gil to make it, so what ammo do you use? And should I move to hunting something else? Where do you guys hunt? (this is not one of those how do I make gil threads .... at least that it is not what I intend it to be, I make gil fine through mining and such I am just looking for another way)

I'd personally use a boomerang or other returnable throwing item. Also with an axe incase the throw doesn't kill the monsters. That might only work on very low level mobs though.

about 4-5 stacks of woodens. i do about 100-120 with each shot and about 1k-1.3k damage with it on farmable mobs. good enough for me... i use all my ammo regardless so it doesn't really matter if i use iron/bone/wooden/pebble. |

I use Bone arrows since they are much stronger and the price is almost the same as Wooden arrows. I also use some of the "Scavange" arrows whenever I have them for barrage (good hit). If you actually want to use Iron arrows the I'd reccomend the Beelte arrows since these are similar in price (700~800gil per stack) and stackable (pay another 1.5k for 12 stacks). +5acc is ok and they have relatively low delay but Irons are not a bad selection |

I use iron ; ; Lately Ive been farming Goobues infront of The Boyadha Tree in Zi Tah - So killing them before they kill me is a must.

i frogot to mention the scavenged arrows... those are good, but i switch to woods/irons before sidewinders because... they miss. alot. and i'm not near windy so i can't get bones as readily. |

I've been doing Bone a lot lately, mainly because when I hunt for Hoo Mjuu the Torrent and Juu Duzu the Wirlwind I end up killing a lot of other Yagudo along the way and will have tons of Yagudo Feathers to make the Fletching (Ended making a Mule that carries nothing but the crafting items for making arrows, he's almost maxed out with items and crystals to make me tons of Bone/Iron Arrows to sell/farm  ) The arrows you use really just depends on the damage per return you are getting. Adjust it so you are doing good enough damage to kill quickly and the return more then makes up for the Arrow/Arrows used. |

I farm with the Darksteel Axe (52) exclusively in the Kolshushu Region. Sometimes I'll bring a stack of bloody bolts for the times when I just really really don't want to rest, knowing full well I'm being a little counter-productive.
