Light, medium heavy, plate (lol), leather, cloth, etc.? Also if someone would direct me towards both the most profitibal craft guild and the most practical for a ranger? I am planning on crafting before leveling so I will have a good cash flow before I start leveling my chars (I hate being strapped for cash at all times as a noob).
Also can you actually make any money as a carpenter (as I am sure that's most practical for a ranger) ? Also is it possible to craft without leveling you chars to get materials? ie. Just buy your supplies and sell the shit for more?
Sorry for the off topic guild questions but I think becoming a member of a money making guild is one way to solve ranger money drain. Thanks in advance.

I guess it would be useful for making bullets and ninja powder too (if you sub /NIN).
Someone mentioned that you have to choose your monsters carefully for the ranger to be effective. So I was wondering if the ranger runs into any problem areas during the level grind wher ethe monsters needed are not easily killed by ranger. So I guess I am kinda asking for a leveling guide I was also wondering if rangers are effective in parties for the HNMBC fights or really effective against the super tough monsters that require alliances?
Thanks. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 09-16-2003, 08:39 PM | #34 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2003 Posts: 63 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 372 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 372 Donate | Is there a way to buy gunpowder in the store?

I've asked this same question maybe 2-3 times, and have had no answers yet.
I'm thinking that it might be a good job not only for a few decent stat perks, but mostly for the skill Concentrate, which supposedly boost Agi for 2 minutes, with a refresh time of five minutes. Seems like it could be very helpful for high evasion foes, but I'm not positive.
Anyone test this or know if it's any good? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-07-2003, 05:34 AM | #38 (permalink) | | Super Moderator Join Date: Dec 2002 Posts: 753 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post Gil: 10,112 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 10,112 Donate | Monk is not a passible subjob. Period.
BTW - Concentrate does not work with range attacks. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-07-2003, 05:36 AM | #39 (permalink) | | Super Moderator Join Date: Dec 2002 Posts: 753 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post Gil: 10,112 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 10,112 Donate | | Quote: | Originally posted by Mithrankittycat What's good AGI food for the rich and not-so-rich?
I carry around a stack of Gysahl Greens for agi+3 vit-5. | Just eat the regular Mithra BBQ/Kabob. It boosts AGI and Range Attack Power.
Really, this is pretty much the only food you should eat from lv1 to lv70. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-20-2003, 03:49 PM | #40 (permalink) | | Epic Fail Guy Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,194 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 1,910 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 1,910 Donate | since no one has said it, RNG/NIN is a very nifty combo

-agi- accuracy. | STR = Damage to enemy
DEX-Evade = Basically how much damage you do on criticals
AGI = Accuracy (Dont confuse this with how fast you shoot your bow) | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-04-2003, 11:28 PM | #43 (permalink) | | Senior Member Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Dec 2002 Posts: 1,179 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 918 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 918 Donate | AGI affects ranged accuracy, and evasion. I hit my ranged attack macro then shoot, but I put my bow away. So then I have to take it out again and shoot again, which adds on even more delay to my already long delay with a bow.
I'm only a thief right now, but I want to play Ranger. It doesn't really seem fun to do that. My bow does sick damage though, I didn't expect it to do so much. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-06-2003, 01:51 PM | #45 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 3 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 120 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 120 Donate | questions Hi everyone, few questions
1.) Best faction to be on as a Ranger? I heard Sand'Oria but I not sure.
2.) Best way to make money? Starting as a warrior first, then becoming a Ranger.
3.) Best race for a ranger going Rng/Nin for nice huge accuracy. I currently a mithraa so I hoping my accuracy be very high.
Thanks for all your help!
