Just to clarify what you can do at the convenience stores in Japan.

You can take certain types of bills which are compatible with convenience store payments (examples: phone, gas, electricity etc) and pay through the convenience stores. You can not go to a convenience store and say "I missed a credit card payment, i don't have the convenience store compatible bill, but I would like to settle it."

So unless people have received these bills from either POL or their CC company, you can not pay through a convenience store.

With so many people getting their accounts closed, I got worried and and called SE. First of all, the expiration date on my credit card had changed, and my firiend, whose Japanese address I've used, recently moved to Taiwan.

First of all, I called the number on the PG1 of this thread by John Doe, 81-03-5333-1555. Calling this number will result in being transferred about 4 times while being on hold. The right number to use from oversea is:

81 3 5333-1860

Since I spoke in Japanese, I cannot say whether they will speak English or not. My guess is that it will be very difficult.

First of all, to verify your account, they will ask you crap loads of info. POL ID, POL Registration Code, Handle Name, E-mail used while registering, POL e-mail, Japanese address, last 4 digits of your credit card, Birth date, etc. After a lengthy verification process, CSR told me that I needed a Japanese address. When I told him that my friend had moved, he asked me for my HK address and phone number and will make a note of it in records.

As for any changes in credit card info, he told me to go to PS2's POL screen and make changes on Service & Support. FYI, CSR said that the info could not be changed through SE POL web site.

I realize that this doesn't really help those with pmt. issues. Just my 2 cents and hope that all of you can resolve the problem.
