Ok, well I couldn't find this topic anyware. Anyway, I would like to know what race I should pic to start playing FFXI. I was first thinking about being a Tarutaru, then I got to thinking about being a Mithra, then I was wandering if I should be a Hume,Elvaan, or Galka. In all I am confused about what race I should be, does anyone have a site that shows all of their stats for each job? etc...please help thanks!

The answer to most basic questions like this (stats etc.) is FFXIClopedia.
Pick whatever race you like the best. The stats end up not being too much of a concern later on. Gear etc. can even it out quite a bit, and odds are you're not going to end up only playing one kind of job, so picking a race with good mage stats is just going to end up reversing on you when you decide to play a DD, and vice versa.
Ellipses on Fenrir There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.

Yeah, I love my hume female (hell, I wish I looked like her and not the fatass I am now!) but the way she walks drives me kind of crazy, she shakes her butt far too much when she runs. Though hume males do it too, so I'm glad I didn't go with that cause it just looks gay.

I like Galkas too. They've got big laps that a Tarutaru can /sit in and look right at home.
But otherwise, yeah, whichever rear end you can stand looking at for years on end is the race you should pick.
I wouldn't trade my Tarutaru for the world though (and hongman should go look at my latest Convert ratio pic and see if he can still say Elvaan are the best ).
