questions on ffxi

Can some one answer this question for me that has an officail answer? I work at a gamestop and we to this day have no release date on the ps2 hard drive but we we have one 4 ffxi. any ways the word on the street is that in the US we wont get a hard drive but the game will take up 3/4 of a memory card to run it. This would pose a problem cause i want the friggin hard drive. If it does come out my estimate is in aug. any good answers?

The way FFXI is set up it really needs the HDD... and there really is no set date for the FFXI release we need to wait for E3 to find out. ; ;
