What class is the best soloer at 75? I understand that BST is the best at gaining EXP, but I mean killing high level mobs, NM, low HNMs, ect. From my understanding, there's THF, NIN, RDM, and BST.

NIN/WHM|RDM - Stronger Blind/Paralyze/Slow. Second highest evasion. Probably strongest (offensively) combo. Can't kill thing that are highly accurate? Can't kill things that have lots of AOEs?

THF/NIN - Highest Evasion. Bloody bolts to regen HP. Blind Bolts stick? Sleep Bolts stick? Ninjutsu sticks? Can't kill thing that are highly accurate? Can't kill things that have lots of AOEs?

RDM/NIN - Very strong Stoneskin, faster Utsusemi recasting/casting time. All debuffs, sleep+nukes, refresh, convert (Safe?).

BST/WHM - Extremely good if there's a lot of pets to charm, but problems if there's not enough mobs? Jugs not good enough?

I voted Red Mage, but it's a little more complex than that. BST is good in an area where there's a lot of enemies they can charm. If there's just one monster, on the other hand, or all nearby monsters are uncharmable, the Red Mage will win hands down. Some of the most amazing solos I've seen so far have been done by Red Mages in places I'm sure no BST could possibly do it. On the other hand, I would imagine that there are situations where a BST would excel that a RDM would fail at.

I also think that with enough potions, almost any class can solo a *lot* of things. It'd just be terribly cost-inefficient to do so. If a Warrior or a damage dealer were carrying say, 50 Max-Potions, they could heal 25,000 HP of damage. It'd just cost unbelievable amounts of gil to do it. Cool for someone ludicrously wealthy and bored, but not something that can be counted on for average soloing anything.

I also understand that Paladin/Red Mage is pretty good at soloing powerful mobs too, particularly after 66 where they would get Phalanx.

From fiirst hand experience, soloing with RDM is a ton of fun.

I am not going to post because I don't think you have all the jobs that qualify to be on the "Best Soloer" list. What happened to Dragoon, Paladin, and Ninja?

Rdms , thfs, and nins make a big deal that they solo.. Bragging or showing pictures and movies as if it's rare.

Bst don't need pt and if they said they can solo and had pics or movies that they could solo everyone would say "So what?"

Therefore...

Bst are the best solo.. they solo so much that it's not a big deal when they claim they can solo. :p

No BST shouldn't be on the list because they don't ever solo. They always have a pet to fight with.

BST - obvious
SMN - can marathon just about anything there is
NIN - needs a haster to solo some of the big stuff, but can handle lost of NM's alone ;o

Why doesn't this apply to SMN? BST gains pets through using their job abilities, as SMN gains pets by using spells. Other classes solo using their job abilities and spells as well. I don't think this is a very good reason not to include BST, although I do agree with Silkiv and modnar.

If by soloer you mean farming purposes, I may be biased but MNK is a damn good soloer. You get chakra, and with the way things usually go, you will have taken just about as much damage as your chakra can heal you for every 5 min. Not to mention our insanely high HP can keep you going for a while.Counterstance when used against Too Weak to be Worthwhile mobs is amazing, at least from my experiences, I seem to counter almost every hit from a too weak mob.
