Lets talk about Stats...



Just wanted to post this for people that argue statistics about Races and Jobs. This info might be from an old source (you will notice I do not consider the NEWER jobs in this), but if the stats still hold true, you might find them amusing...

AGI:
-Paladin has the worst AGI stat in the game.
-Followed by Monk, who has the same AGI as a Bard.
-Followed by White and Red Mage, then followed by Dark Knight.
-Followed by Black Mage, which has the same AGI as a Warrior!

VIT:
-White Mage, Bard, and Warrior have the same VIT stat.

DEX:
-Red Mage and Bard are tied with the Ranger in DEX stats.
-Dark Knight has more DEX than Ranger.
-Paladin has the least DEX than all those mentioned above.
-Warrior has the same DEX as Black Mage.

STR:
-Paladin has more STR than Monk.


So, go and argue numbers, but you might be surprized that even the job itself does not give you the best stat to do itself. (pun intended...?)

Rangers don't care about Dexterity at all =P

Well, he's obviously talking about a race-neutral situation. A Mithran Thief will have exactly as much more Dex than a Hume Thief, as a Mithran Redmage over a Hume Redmage. That is to say, that each bonus is sepperate and can easily be removed from stat calculations.

For some odd reason, SE intended to make MNK a VIT job for no reason(we don't tank much...)... and RNG needs AGI for ranged accuracy and stuffs.

Of course, Monk and Paladin have the same VIT stat. Just thought I would add that. ...

WAR, DRG, and DRK have A STR, RNG has D, and SAM has B.

Ehh that's not entirely true, nearly all melee should at least keep Dex in mind, especially towards end game as it does indeed help contribute to critical hits. But I understand what you're saying, probably that Ranger should just focus on ranged acc/atk and agility rather than dextarity.

Well, yes, I meant it in a sense that Rangers generally don't buy equipment or sub a certain class because of Dexterity

A Mithran PLD has the same DEX as a Elvaan THF

An Elvaan SMN/WAR has more STR than a Taru WAR/SMN

A Galkan WHM/SMN has higher VIT than a Taru PLD/WAR
