Here's an interesting twist on a familiar topic.
In FFXI, we've seen classes from FFV and FFT implemented, as well as some semi-originals (PLD and DRK, though they were seen in FFIV's Cecil). We all like to speculate on what jobs Square might add from old favorites like FFT, but very few have ever mentioned FFTA in such discussions.
So, basically, what classes from FFTA do you think would fit well into FFXI?
I'd like to see a Shapeshifter (a.k.a. Morpher) class added. Kinda like BST but with a twist ... might make for some interesting combos. A Juggler class would also be fun in an off-beat sort of way.
Gunner seems iffy at first because Rangers now have the monopoly on guns, but then we all thought Warriors were tops were spears until Dragoon came along ... Gunners would probably be a popular class.
Fencer is simple and doable, and Sniper seems like a possibility as well. They could have passive abilities to boost accuracy, etc. ...
We definitely won't be seeing any of Mog Knight without playable Moogles, and it seems that all the abilities of a FFTA Sage have already been given to the other FFXI mage classes. But how about a Templar? They are the "anti-Mages," and having such a class could make things interesting.
Post your thoughts! Be creative, maybe we'll get somebody to write up a speculative ability list just like the good old days when Tazirai did Blue Mage and Time Mage ...
