Whats a good Main/SuB Jobs To STart as a Newb??

What would be a good Main and Sub job to start FFXI.....?
meaning when u dont have anything. A job that money isnt really an issue and having great gear isnt as well....


Any Opinions.....

Just play how you want. Any Main/sub job works, jsut pick jobs that complement each other. Like if you're a black/red/white mage, pick a different mage sub. At some point you'll have to party so it really doesnt matter anyway.

For easy starting and not needing equipment I would definitely say start as a monk. Then if you still want to go the basic route, get your warrior as a sub. Both classes are a very easy play in the beginning and monk doesn't use a lot of gear so moneywise you should be fine.

I would and probably will be a Ranger with either Warrior/Sam/Ninja as my sub job but i hear its very hard for a ranger to get going when ur poor and have crap for gear. Wouldnt it be better to get gear and exp( from playing ffxi) for a more complex character?
