i so hope this isnt already posted or im gonna feel dumb

I think the worst mix is Galka/black mage/summoner... but i donjt have an imported version so i dunno if it is, but it seems gay. what do u think is the worst combo (and im sure humes wont be listed in the race because they r balanced)

I have much love for my fellow galka players but. . . galka whm takes the cake in my opinion lol - last one I PTd with was in the mid 30s and without a bard we spent so much time waiting on his MP lol. Good thing is if he manages to take hate for whatever reason he can take a few hits . . . lol

Galka/White Mage/Beast Master.

He'd run out of MP fairly quickly.

BLM/SMN isn't the best combo, but it's not an extremely bad combo since the SMN at least gives MP and has neat party spells.

Tarutaru pld/smn

tarutaru's can't tank well, and the won't have the Mp to keep their summoned petts around

UnnamedGalka: Lmao, when I saw your picture and the words you put, made me crack up.

Skidmore: Actually a Taru Taru pld/sum would work quite nicely. Nomatter the lack of defense for a taru taru. paladin's have very nice defense abilities and would help. And also nomatter what, taru tarus wont run out of magic just to keep a summoned pet, they are mages for god sakes.

I say the "Most Challenging" race+job+subjob would be Galka Thief/Black Mage, easily pointed out is that they dont have very well agility attributes, or Mp.

I wish to throw my 2 pennies into the mix if I may..

THere are 2 types of players in FFXI, the ones that care about the facts and the ones that play to have fun.

If you are into playing the game strictly on facts, the most challenging race/job would be a galka with whm/blk over the melee taru. The reason behind this is that casters are heavly dependent on mp. If a taru tank dies because he is weak, then he dies. If a galka healer runs out of mp and can't heal then the whole party dies.

Now for my opinion on this matter...

I would group with a white mage galka because I dont mind the challenge, dying is part of the game. But keep in mind there are other people out there who wouldn't group with a white mage galka, it's part of the diversity you get with people.

It seems that every 3rd post is about this matter at hand, and it doesnt seem like it will subside any time soon. The best advice I can give you is that play the game like it's going out of style and have fun. But if you run into people who won't group with you, shrug it off and count it as their loss. ^_^

I'm bad about that... If I'm making a party and can decide, I will not take a Galka Mage of any sort, nor a Tarutaru Melee class...

I'm sick and tired of people making me die just becuase they want a 'challenge'. Atleast wait untill I'm lvl 30 so I can be a darn PLD!!

It all depends really...I'm sure a galka whm would do fine in a 40+ PT with a rdm refresh and bard ballad... as for tarutaru melees, paladins and thieves seem to be fine as tarus. In some ways tarutaru paladins even have some advantages over other paladins in exp groups at least... 95% of the time the paladin in my 50+ groups the paladin has to do curing to keep aggro, and taru paladins have plenty of mp to cure with. Since paladins also take a lot less damage the lower hp doesn't matter as much.

I would have to say (even tho I haven't actually PLAYED yet) Galka Sum/Brd. On a side note I also think that Taru Tarus make better Warrior types, than Galka do mage types.

Yeah, that is terrible. Actually, I've reached the point to where I'd readily take a Galka WHM, just because I've had such a hard time finding a whm to begin with.

What I'm more sick and tired of is people that get all indignant over dying and abandon their party in a childish hissy fit when they die once. I will agree that this game is challenging enough without people having to find the challenge with bad class/race combos. However, there ARE also people that just want to have fun and their class/race combo isn't the best, don't diss those people or go out of your way to exclude them from your party.
