Mithra is the #1 race in my opinion

Well, still waiting for the game to arrive but from what I've seen and read I would say:

1st Hume
2nd Tarutaru
and 3rd Galkur

If there was a head that looked like Cloud (FFVII) I would choose that and be a Hume! but, there isn't (one looks a bit like Tidus though, but he's not so cool, so.. :sweat: )

Because if you have, you will want to hug him, give him a name and take him home with you...

But Galkas are cool to, especially the ones that have the urge to protect every cute little Taru they see...

Mithra. We're the best looking race (I've seen lots of feline humanoid designs with all the anime I've seen, and this is one of the best looking ones by far), we're well-rounded enough to do any job at least decently well, and we don't miss due to our wondrous dex.

Which is good, because I hate missing with a passion that borders on religious fanaticism.

Would have been nice to have a male Mithra option, just because more options are always good, but I don't mind playing a female at all, so it's no big deal. And they look *so* good in armor. The first time I saw a Mithra in Paladin AF armor, I knew I had to play one.

As for the other races...
2). Tarutaru - the only other race that I like both for appearance AND stats.
3) (tie) Hume - looks good, stats not so good
4) (tie) Elvaan - stats good, looks not so good (what's with the giant necks? Usually I like elf-looking characters, but not these...)
5). Galka - Too disproportionate. I don't mind hulking, but arms 2x the size of their legs is a bit much...

Yeah , as a fellow Taru , I must admit we Taru LOVE Galka . Especially us White Magers . A Galka makes the perfect guardian for us . Humes and Mithras don't take away enough and don't have much HP , which leads to us aggroing off of our Cure castings . Elvaan have the strength and HP , but dodge only once a year so we have to cure them non-stop .

But Taru are still my favorite ( just barely ) for their cuteness , talent at support roles and for how much they are underestimated when they DO play a more physical role . That and first person view is SO funny at our height

Galka are #2 for how much they specialize in an important role - Tanking . This makes them the first people I look for as party members . Galka are just really reliable Hulks and can often be counted as 2 people when sizing up group strength . Had I known they would play such a valuable role , I might have played one .

Mithra would be 3rd , but their stats beat Humes in almost everything - making them kinda unfare . Though I would have considered one , had there been males . Still , the amount that Square has made them just a better Hume makes me resent them a bit . Square should have balanced Humes and them out , instead of just making Humes BAD Mithra , in almost everything .

i'd have to go with TaruTaru all the way, they're so cute! cute and destructive, that's the way to go (i like black mages, in case you didn't notice) but, like other people have said, you gotta love the Galka's who protect us cute little ones

Even tho elvaan are near bottum on every job's best list there still my choice

But then you look at it and they can basically do anything but thf and ninja...

Sure there low on mp but u can make up for that... and when you do there very strong spells

Sure they have low accuracy making melee dificult but they deal very high dmg..

Elvaan are always viewed as ecentric and the best of the best...
What American wouldn't pick Elvaan?

2nd = Taru of course...
3rd = Mithra
4th = Galka
5th = Hume
