Hey guys,
Noob here and Im a little confused....

I was doing the Minesweeper quest in the Bastok mines where you talk to the NPC named Gerbaum and he asks you to kill things in the Zeuhrn mine and then bring him 3 pinches of Zehurn soot for a reward.

I killed the stuff, and got 3 pinches of Zehurn soot. I talk to Gerbaum and he doesn't do anything except talk about the mines.

Am I missing something? Is this a glitch?

All the quest description says is to kill things in the mine and bring Gerbaum the 3 pinches of soot!

This. More often than not in FFXI, you'll have to trade the item you're fetching for a fetch quest to the person who told you to fetch it to get your reward.

Im pretty sure it wont let me trade with him....I target him and the only thing it does is make him talk about the mines.

Ahhh nevermind! I got it!

For some reason I thought the trade icon should show up if you target someone you can trade with.
