Cannot complete "Teachers Pet" quest

I got the 2 leaf Madragora bud and the Bird Feather and everytime I talk to Moreno Toeno he just tells me he needs these items. I tried collecting more bird feathers. just to be sure. does he need a particualr bird feather, like in the "in a Pickle" quest, or a particular mandra bud? Or do i have to give it to someone else? could somebody help on this?

You need to Trade them to him, not just talk to him.

thanks a lot. I would never have figured that out in a million years. Now that I got 5 bird feathers in a desperate attempt to get the "right" one, I might as well get five madragora buds. Thanks again!

You can't get 5 mandy buds. They are rare/ex and you can only carry one at a time.

(I would have NEVER caught that Armando, thank you. ^^)

He can, however, turn them in one at a time. I've done that quest about a zillion times. If you xp outside of Windy often, you'll get the 2 leaf bud to drop pretty frequently. I use that as my opportunity to take a quick xp break and turn in the items for my lol100gil or whatever it is.

250 gil +fame!! in Windy. I still do it if I get a bud and other needs don't demand my inventory space before I get back to Windy. I keep feathers in my safe just in case.

and I've had max fame!! in Windy for years... I'm a dork
