Baren Morren - Hat in Hand Quest

Hi everybody!

I visited the FFXIClopedia site for this quest. On the right side of the page it mentions the people you have to talk to and the square grid numbers. But those do not correspond with the strategy guide I have (Brady). For instance the site says Honoi-Gomoi can be found in E-7 (deck from Culinary's Guild to Timber's Timbre), but he is in one of the houses south-west in Windurst Waters. Can someone tell me too what grid these numbers refer to?

Also I was wondering, on the site it says you can win up to 200 gil for completing this quest, while the guide says 300 gil. To how many people do I have to talk to to get the 300 gil, or is that a typo?

Thanks for all your replies!

DrakenDame

Re: Baren Morren - Hat in Hand Quest

There are two sections to Windurst Waters, the north section with the cooking guild etc. and the south section with the houses. Honoi-Gomoi is at E-7 in the southern map.

I'm not sure on the gil reward. But in general, Brady stands a much higher chance of just being wrong.

Grrr...that Brady guide gives me nothing but trouble...it does not even tell me what level you need to be to be able to complete a quest or mission...

Re: Baren Morren - Hat in Hand Quest

If it's on the Bradygames guide, there's a 90% chance it's wrong in some way, be it explicitly or by omission. And the 10% that it got right isn't worth risking reading misinformation.

Sell it or burn it. It was trash even the very day it was released.

Yep me too but there are no English guides worth the time. If you can read Japanese they have a plethora of guides to choose from that are VERY good! I use a couple for simple stuff thats actually in English, like maps, equips, etc. They are a tad expensive to get though.

Re: Baren Morren - Hat in Hand Quest

I used the brady guide for the first couple months that I was playing. I found it very useful for the maps that I didn't have and as a weapon and armor guide. Not really useful for much else.

Re: Baren Morren - Hat in Hand Quest

I'm pretty sure if you burned a Brady guide you'd get fined for releasing toxic emisions to the atmosphere.

Just shred it and then place it in a Biohazard container, hopefully future generations will discover a safe way to disposed of it.

The internet is the best strategy guide for every game in existence.

It's free too.

About these screenshots: I'm playting FFXI online on the xbox. Is there a way of posting the screenshots on the internet?
