I was muling over some gear to do Shadows of the Departed when I ran by this NPC I had never seen before in Windust Woods.



Says she's a mercenary dispatched to watch over East Sarutabaruta, dunno what threat would require mercenaries there, but w/e. I think I would have remembered a mithra with a GA and scorpion armor set before, so she has to be new.

But she seems to have no purpose. She just explains why she's there and that Windurst Woods was given to the mithra as a reward for thier service in the Great War. Perhaps a teaser NPC for WotG?

She's the only one listed as a Great War Recaller NPC. Perhaps there's others in the other nations.

I saw her too (on my mule), and promptly looked her up on ffxiclopedia as well, but was not satisfied with the information I got. I wonder what her purpose will be ... much like those Aht Urgahn guys who made us flash that badge everywhere.

There is a new NPC in Sandy right next to the Whitegate Warp guy. He/she appears to be for the new Pit when that comes active.
