I'm planning on doing Gobbie Bag Part 1 this weekend. I was told that I had to have some kind of fame status. Please give me the specifics if you know them. Thank you!

Talk to Bluffnix in order to trigger the quest and see if you can actually get it.
Trade the Dhalmel Leather, Peridot, Linen Cloth, and Steel Ingot to him (these items can all be found at the AH and/or crafted).
He will upgrade your Gobbiebag from 30 spaces to 35!

To avoid these situations in the future, before you post a question, take 5 minutes to check a few FFXI-related information sites (namely the Wiki), and try and answer your question. If you are still unable to come to a solid answer, then post your question.
