I feel like SE sorta kinda indirectly fulfilled my request: Could you make Banishing Gates easier to open in Garlaige Citadel?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I LOVE door puzzles and such (like Necropolis), but Garlaige was just annoying.

It's annoying because it's not a puzzle. It's a requirement that you find 3 other people willing to stand in the right spot for a few seconds so you can proceed. Not to mention, it's hard to get help for the gates because most people don't like to waste time unless they have a reason to get behind any of the gates.

Eldieme's door puzzle also sucks because of the same reason as Garlaige's - you can't access the whole place on your own. But at least that one only requires 1 extra person, provided the both of you can navigate the dungeon solo without problems.

And in any case, I'd like to see more environmental puzzles in FFXI. Less "to make this map seem awesome we made it nearly impossible to navigate lol."

More things like the doors to Toraimorai and Moongate would be neat too (you CAN get in without a pass in certain situations; but you also have the option to get a pass to be able to open it all by yourself, whenever you want.

The thing about Eldieme is that it's easily dual-boxable. I don't always have access to another account (except my own, but the highest level on it is 8) but it's so easy to sit someone at the switch to open and shut the door to your heart's content. And if I really wanted to, I could get a mule there for that exact purpose with enough oils and one powder to get past the bomb.

Garlaige though, you can't dual box that, or quadra box that. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult that would be, especially when you consider gate 3 and the holes nearby. You and a friend could each dual box it, but it still requires a lot more than the Necropolis.

Half the time I don't even take anyone with me to Eldieme, I'll just shout if there's someone in the zone. And if there isn't, then I'll get another character out there.

Necro wasn't that bad, but Garliage? Ugh I hated it so much. WTF were SE thinking that I should need people to help me get a coffer! Grabbing coffers should be soloable by one person and not require the use of other people!
