I have also roped another UK friend into helping, a 75 WAR/NIN that did Eldieme for me, so Im gonna try catch him as well. Shame that progress in this game seems to (at least to me) rely more on how many 75's you know to help out on stuff like AF and LB than anything else

Ifrit's Cauldron Coffer Key T_T

The MNK's Temple Crown is in Garliage Coffer too. Recently I am leveling MNK, and trying to get MNK AF. When I tried to start the AF gloves quest for MNK, the NPC won't let me... because I had AF gloves from other job incompleted. The NPC told me to go to Ifrit's Cauldron~

Sigh.. I have to finish NIN AF gloves before I can work on my MNK's AF >.<
Ifrit's Cauldron is going to sux~

My advice is, if you are working on AF for multiple jobs, plan ahead. The order of those quest matters~

You don't have to wait until you hit 75 to help people. I remember helping out newer players when I still only in my mid 30s on my first job. You can help out higher level players by participating in level capped activities. The opportunities are out there.

On my previous character, I got WHM AF first thru my LS and an IRL friend. That prepared me for the jobs ahead in the future I would be getting keys and coffers for.

2nd job to 75 was RDM and was able to get help from same LS and IRL friends to get Garlaige Key and Coffer again.

However, after that I got AF on 6 other jobs and I was able to solo all the coffer keys and coffers all by myself...... save the one in Garliage Citadel where I always needed 3 other people.

I have always personally loathed that coffer in Garliage Citdel, simply because, like Murphie said, that -one- guy.

It's that one guy that is the type to ride a bull into a china glass shop and ask "why did everything break?" I just couldn't agree more with this concept lol.

Give me Castle Zhval, Temple of Uggalepih, Ifrit's Cauldron. Hell, give me Beadeaux and the outrageously hard to get to drop coffer key there and the precarious situations of looking for the coffer in such a small space and curse statues ANYDAY. I can deal with all of these situations all by myself, solo on RDM75.

But, my weakness, my achille's heel is that damnable Garlaige Citadel coffer where I am forced to depend on -yahoos.- lol

Hell... I even solo'ed BLM AF Hat by myself.... I'd do that anyday over GC.

Solo'ed BRD AF Ghost in Monastic Cavern. Even cleared out the whole room twice while soloing...... now that was a headache, but I did it.

However, I also tried to solo Chandallier for THF AF hands or w/e and I couldn't kill that thing solo to save my life. He's got alot of HP.

Well yeah, but it's hardly difficult to get a Tree key. Heck, it's not hard to get a Kuftal key either. I've gotten more of both of these keys (and Quicksand) than I've ever been able to use. Very few folks exp later on in SSG, but that one is (again) not too rough. Ifrits could be a challenge though.

Garliage Coffer.... *shudders*
I had five friends with me for this one, so I was lucky, but for two keys and two coffers, it took a total of... *takes a deep breath*... EIGHT HOURS. That was killing mobs for the keys to drop and then camping two coffers... -.-
It was the worst eight hours of my FFXI life, even worse than ZM4 Ifrit's Cauldron, and that was Very Awful.
Great work that you got it though! I haven't had to do a coffer for Castle Oz yet, but that place is in my Top Five Places I Will Usually Need To Be Bribed To Go To...
Ifrit's Cauldron, Mount Zhaylom, Castle Oztroja, Den of Rancour, Labrynth of Onzozo... I think that's my top five currently.

Garlaige Citadel Coffer is really a pain, I still remember when I'm trying to get my rdm af there, always need help for gate breach, which I hate the most, and all the coffer always swamp point is always behind gate 2 or gate 3.

Well I sort of figure out the best thing to do without gate breach is going through to the past (you need to have the wing of goddess expansion pack), head through gate 3 and camp for them for the coffer to repop. !!!

^^ beside saving the time for gate breach, the percentage for you to get the coffer is much higher as compare to gate 2. ^.~

I had 4 people under 60 get the keys and coffers in Garliage and Ifrits. It was challenging, and really exciting.

It gets better ... you can actually avoid the Gate Breach at #2 using the past and some flowers!
