Im having no luck with any high level help, so I thought why not do it the "old" fashion way - grab a group of people together.
Could I form a PT, and just choose The Eldieme as camp?
Would a PT of 56-58 be able to party well there, getting good exp and handling any links that may arise?
Or am I completely off the mark here and would need to form a proper Coffer Hunt pt? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-14-2007, 04:08 AM | #2 (permalink) | | Achiever Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: Apr 2003 Location: Queens, NY Posts: 2,626 Style: Light - Version 4 My Mood: Thanks: 442 Thanked 238x in 139 Posts Gil: 1,814 Bank: 89,521 Total Gil: 91,335 Donate | Re: Red Mage AF3 Oh yeah, buddy, time to form a pt.
Especially at your level, soloing anything relating to AF is impossible. I hate to tell you, but since this is your first AF job, you'll have to join a coffer group, and/or enlist the aid of your LS and/or friends.
It sucks, but it has to happen... Like I said, everyone I know that has done these runs all seem to keep so hush hush about how they did it.
Or do you think hanging around that area and asking to join in any coffer hunts? Maybe that would work. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-14-2007, 05:39 AM | #5 (permalink) | | King of the Oompa Loompas Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Nov 2005 Posts: 3,360 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 10 Thanked 118x in 96 Posts Gil: 27,402 Bank: 50,142 Total Gil: 77,544 Donate | Re: Red Mage AF3 Originally Posted by hongman | Yea, I was kinda wondering if I could get 5 others to agree - otherwise my chances of finding 5 others to come on a run by /sh are slim, I think. No one likes going there. You'll also often get more responses if you shout coffer key/skill up party. However realize that most people then won't want to just take off after your key drops. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-14-2007, 06:12 AM | #8 (permalink) | | FFXIWiki'er FFXIWiki Team Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,572 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 102 Thanked 39x in 30 Posts Gil: 24,935 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 24,935 Donate | Re: Red Mage AF3 I dont want them to take off after my key drops - I want help finding the coffer as well XD
What is the norm for skillup parties? If I get someone responding to the skillup party comment, what are they likely to ask? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-14-2007, 06:25 AM | #9 (permalink) | | Senior Veteran Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 4,577 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 114 Thanked 1,399x in 846 Posts Gil: 4,274 Bank: 223,341 Total Gil: 227,616 Donate | Re: Red Mage AF3 Originally Posted by hongman | | I dont want them to take off after my key drops - I want help finding the coffer as well XD | You're probably on your own finding the coffer, or get a friend to help you check the areas you can't get to on your own. For that you're going to have find a skill level chart and compare it to the mobs you're going to be fighting. IIRC skill on a RDM sword or dagger (B level skills) has to be less then 150 to get decent skillups against what you'll be going after there. I could be off on the number though, it's been a while since I've been in the Necropolis helping someone with a coffer hunt. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-14-2007, 06:52 AM | #10 (permalink) | | FFXIWiki'er FFXIWiki Team Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,572 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 102 Thanked 39x in 30 Posts Gil: 24,935 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 24,935 Donate | Re: Red Mage AF3 That sounds about right to be honest. WIll be fighting Tomb Mages. I was getting good skillups on my Dagger in Yhoater Jungle, and started to clow down around 105, managed to sqeeze 110 from it. So as long as say they are 110-130 I think skillups would be fine. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
