Mog House Quest Help Please!
Okay, so it's 5 extra slots for every gobbie bag quest you complete, and 10 each for the mog house quests. Is that correct?

I had printed those quests out months ago, and looking at somepgae.com.Click Here it seems that there are only 3 quests to complete for the mog house updates, whereas for the goobiebag there are 6.

Now, I know that with mog house space, you start off with 50 slots, and it just took me a while to figure out that maybe you get 10 slots added each time, which is why there are only 3 quests for the mog house update. (50 starting slots plus 3 10s = 80)

I just want to confirm whether I am right or not.
I started the mog house quest months ago, and just forgot about it because I was concentrating on other things in the game instead.

Re: Mog House Quest Help Please!
House quests

1st one increases MH inv from 50-60 Need lvl 3 fame in home city put in a bronze bed. after next conquest tally Moogle will be homesick and ask for Powerbow and Beetle ring to take as presents, trade him those and he goes off (you can still use MH as normal) Bronze bed is about 8-10k, Power bow is about 27-30k and beetle ring is about 2k. And yes you loose the items except the bed.
rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 42k

2nd one, 60-70 slot upgrade, you need a Mahogny bed and have lvl 5 fame in your home city. Items are cheaper than the 1st as you just need 1 stick selbina butter and a shrimp lure. Same as above moogle will be home sick after conquest tally, trade items and a day later you will have upgrade. Beds are around 40-60k depending on your server, selbina butter is 1k a stick or 2k a stack and shrimp Lure is about 5-7k. rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 69k

3rd one, 70-80 slot upgrade (I havn't got this yet) you need lvl 7 fame and a Nobles bed (about 80-100k) a wool hat (15-18k) and Raptor mantal (5k)
rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 123k

Gobbie bags. It is a well published fact that the 3rd upgrade is the most expensive. In most cases its best to just buy items from the AH in jueno, I found when doing all mine recently that Jeuno was the cheapest for most items on garuda. Though if you are a higher enough crafter to make some of teh items and its cheaper then do so.

NPC = Bluffnix [H-9] - Item shop in lower Jeuno

Upgrade 1 Increase slots from 30-35
Jeuno fame lvl 2 required
Items needed/Price/item under AH section-
Dhalmel leather - 2.4k (leathercraft)
Linen Cloth - 4k (Clothcraft)
Peridot - 16-19k (Goldsmithing)
Steel Ingot - 5-6k (smithing)
rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 31.4k

Upgrade 2 - Increase slots from 35-40
Jeuno fame lvl 4 required
Mythril Ingot - 8-9k (goldsmithing)
Ram Leather - 3k (Leathercraft)
Turquoise - 7-10k (goldsmithing)
Wool Cloth - 6-7k (leathercraft)
rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 29k

Upgrade 3 - Increase slots from 40-45
Jeuno fame lvl 5 required
Gold Ingot - 38-40k (goldsmithing)
Painite - 30-48k (stock is very varied note the price difference, currently on a price increase) (goldsmithing)
Tiger Leather - 3K (leathercraft)
Velvet cloth - 5-6k (clothcraft)
rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 97k

Upgrade 4 - Increase slots from 45-50
Jeuno fame lvl 5 required
Cermet Chunk - 6-7k (alchemy)
Darksteel Ingot - 20-23k (smithing)
Goshenite - 20k - (goldsmithing)
Silk Cloth - 7k - (clothcraft)
rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 57k

Upgrade 5 - Increase slots from 50-55
Jeuno fame lvl 6 required
Bugard Leather - 1.5k (leathercraft)
Moblinweave - 9-10k (clothcraft)
Paktong Ingot - 2.4-3k (smithing)
Rhodonite - 20-21k (goldsmithing)
rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 35.5k

Upgrade 5 - Increase slots from 55-60
Jeuno fame lvl 6 required
Balloon Cloth - 2-3k (best to AH) (clothcraft)
High-Quality Eft Skin (note HQ not NQ) - 10-15k (Leathercraft)
Iolite - 30k (goldsmithing)
Shakudo Ingot - 1-2k (smithing)
rough total cost (based on higer figure) = 50k

Ok grand totals....

MH upgrades = 234k
Gobbie Bag upgrades = 299.9k
(note above worked out in my head so if a few numeric errors have occured don;t worry you can work it out)

Grand total for all storage quests = 533.9k

Note:- All prices taken form FFXI based on last 20 items sold in Jeuno in Garuda, taken on 28/01/2007 between 11am-11:40am GMT. Server prices differ froms erver to server, some may be more some may be less, this is just a guide.

To check fame level, visit fame checkers page at somepage for NPC and speach he gives per level http://ffxi.somepage.com/fame.php

Hope that helps...

Retired Galka enjoying his Mithra's.
