Maybe its worded poorly, maybe I'm just dumb, but its really not making sense to me and I've been told three or four different things by different people.
Wiki basically says to check the Gates, then find the ??? on one of the hills and it gives you the plate. It then says that every time you enter or leave Zhayolm, that you have to recheck the Gates.
I was then told by a party member that you have to check the gate, then find the ??? and thats it.
Then, an ls member told me just find the ??? and that's all you have to do.
Has anyone done this that can recall what's all involved? Especially clarifying the wiki part about checking the gate everytime you zone in and out of Zhayolm. I RNG 75 I WAR 37 I NIN 38 I SAM 50 I Woodworking 92+2

And this is my guess, you must not leave the zone before you check the ???. And you'll get a key item.
The key item will be with you forever. You can open the gate as many times as you like with it.
The reason I think you can't leave the zone before you check??? is because I did that... and ??? gave me nothing when I portal back to find it >.> There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,

transform a yellow spot into the sun.

Zone into Mount Zhalym. Check the gate, not once, but twice. Go search for the ??? but don't zone out. If/when you find the ???, check it. You'll have the cast metal plate and that's it. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | The following user says "Thank You" to Mog for above post: | | | 12-26-2006, 11:35 AM | #4 (permalink) | | From Beneath You, It Devours Super Moderator Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Texas Posts: 3,413 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 41 Thanked 143x in 101 Posts Gil: 15,182 Bank: 41,022 Total Gil: 56,204 Donate | Re: Cast Metal Plate Thanks guys, I'll take care of it tonight.
