This quest was too hard so SE modified it a little (before NA release I think). You don't need to get the imprints from Batallia or Sauromugue in order to get the Crawler's Nest map. However, the quest is not complete until you do so (and you still get a gil reward for them). I have the map, but have not ventured into the last 2 areas yet.

the actual story imprints seem to be updated semi regularly, as well apparently... nothing drastic so i'm not really sure why, but they do seem to change the phrasing of certain things.

it's only what i've read elsewhere. I've only done it once myself but people seemed to be of the opinion that seemingly insignifacant changes were made to the texts.

Maybe it's a specific two. The Batallia and Sauromugue ones are the hardest, so people usually skip those. I got the map before doing either.

3yrs running and still have not gottent this danged map lol. I will eventually. I have a week off work coming up and a lot of stuff to do ingame, this is going to be one of them. I have done 9 or 10 monuments so far, not much left to do.

Long, LONG quest. Lucky for me, a whm from my linkshell escorted me to every one of the mounments.  She even didn't wear any pants, just so I had have something to look at on the trip to each one.  Not that I was complaining....
