Everyone's Grudging - Rancor Flame Quest -- need answers ASAP

I'm going to try finishing this quest tonight, which is why I need answers ASAP.

I'm having a problem with it. I got the paintbrush of souls to get into the Den of Rancor. I went there with two friends who also needed the paintbrush. We figured that while we were there, we may as well get a rancor flame to do the "Everyone's Grudging" quest in Kazham where the Chieftainness excommunicates you from Kazham for being cursed.

Now...in the guidebook it says that once you've touched the rancor flame and have obtained it, that when you speak to the Chieftainness, she'll kick you out of Kazham because they believe that the rancor flame is cursed. Then you're supposed to go talk to Romaa Mihgo who tells you to light the four lanterns in the Den of Rancor (around E-5, I think) to spawn a Rancor Torch NM. You fight that to break the curse.

My friends and I went to the Altar of Rancor in D-2 of the Den. The friend who was leading us was getting directions off of allakhazam, so I'm going to assume that they were fairly accurate. We each got our rancor flames.

All of us have hero fame in every nation. I have done EVERY quest in Kazham, except for this one, and would like to finish it. I KNOW I have enough fame to do this.

But for some reason, when I talk to the Chieftainness, I don't get a cut scene or anything. She doesn't tell me to get out of Kazham. The quest isn't in my quest log (I know I haven't done it before, nor is it in my "current" quest log). I've tried trading her the rancor flame. Nothing happens.

Am I doing something wrong with this? I really need to know so I can get this quest done tonight. Am I supposed to go to a different Altar there or what? I've done everything the guidebook says (obtained a rancor flame, touched the rancor flame, talked to the Chieftainness) but nothing's happened, and the quest isn't showing up in my log.

Any help would be appreciated.

You have to do some quest about the painter Angelica (in Windurst Waters) wanting to hang a painting in temple of uggalapih, then you hang the painting yourself, spawn an NM golem, then she excomminicates you.

Yeah, someone told me on another forum that I have to fight the golem twice. I've already done it once, so I'll go do it again tonight.
