I've started the drg and following a drg quets guide I went to the Maze to get the dragon egg, I went to G-7 but could not find any place to use my pickaxe so I selected it and it targeted a ghoul. However went I went to mine the ghoul it attacked me and I died and deleveled down to 29.
Can I continue without having to lvl back to 30? Also what exactly am I suppost to mine? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-07-2006, 02:04 PM | #2 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2003 Posts: 296 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 8 Thanked 2x in 2 Posts Gil: 712 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 712 Donate | Re: Can I continue the drg quest at lvl29? How did you not manage to find an excavation point before entering the area with Ghouls? In fact... there are maybe... MAYBE 3 total excavation points in the Maze of Shakrami that are within visual distance of a ghoul, and you can Sneak or Invisible past everything in there as WHM.
Usually you can find an Excavation Point somewhere in that first big room you enter with the skeletal remains.

I went into the big room with skeletons but I never found any excavation points. I thought I just had not targeted them so I selected my pickaxe and choose use and it targeted a ghoul. I thought the ghoul was some special quest based thing that I had the use my pickaxe on but it attacked when I tried that. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-07-2006, 04:36 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Senior Member Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Apr 2003 Location: Des Moines, Iowa Posts: 1,186 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 9 Thanked 12x in 11 Posts Gil: 1,288 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 1,288 Donate | Re: Can I continue the drg quest at lvl29? The ghoul is a monster that drops an item for one of the subjob quests. >_>a | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-08-2006, 01:46 AM | #6 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 161 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 1,934 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 1,934 Donate | Re: Can I continue the drg quest at lvl29? They are definitely in there. Just tab around until you find the Excavation Point target. Gobs are sight aggro, and undead and worms are sound. So bring some prism powder and silent oil if you're not a WHM. But it looks like you are, so just keep those cast on yourself! | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
