Should i do SMN quest??

i have been thinking about doing SMN quest after i get my brd to about 20 or so is that a good idea if so can u tell me how to get the fastest way to do the quest? srry if it is in wrong section didnt know to put it in SMN form or here so i choose here since it deals with the quest so srry if it is in the wrong section

it can wait if you're not planning to play smn anytime soon. if you want to play it by all means get it.

TK, why NOT do the summoner quest? why would you think it would be a bad thing to unlock a job?

Actually, one good reason to not do it until later is that it's a huge pain to get to some of the necessary zones without a moderately high level job or escort. If you're not dying to play SMN right now, just get a Carbuncle's Ruby and carry it around with you while doing other stuff. You'll run into all of the necessary conditions sooner or later by the time one of your jobs hits level 50 or so, at which point you can finish the quest without expending extra time or energy.

Yea I agree with Ice mage on this. I havent even unlocked summoner yet, buy I started quest and obtained teh Carbuncle's ruby. I have 5/7 weather conditions justr from going to Valkrum dunes and Konschat highlands to level my puppetmaster. Its near finished and I havent gone out of my way to get necessary weather conditions

i would wait to actually play it till you get most of the prime fights done because
if you ever get into a pt that has a whm, its nice to actually play your smn as a smn and not as a whm

Well, I'd assume that since this person is playing Bard, they must have a reasonably leveled WHM.

If that's the case, it is really not difficult to get the only hard weather to obtain: Ice. The trip up to Beaucidine is damned difficult, but if you have Sneak and Invis, it should be a piece of cake.

I did it as a level 20 WHM! But I spent a fortune on Prism Powder. :/ I also grabbed the Vahlz Crystal while I was up there, because I love spending all of my gil on powders.
