Magic QUESTS for BLM's?!?

Hi all.

Ive found out that spells like drain and home jump can only be aquired through either the AH at an insane price or via doing a quest. So I ask...
Can anyone explain to me how to aquire drain?!?
I have no idea, where or who I have to talk to, to start the quest and/or what to do to complete it...

What about the other magic quests?!?

you can get drain through a quest in san d'oria
you get the quest from novalmague in the Chateau Prison...(in case you don't know the chateau is in N san)

he wants you to get get him a bottle of beast blood which can be obtained from thread leeches in Pashow Marshlands. I would assume that you could also get it from the AH.

Dezone is a Bastok quest. You talk to Unlucky Rat in Metal Works.
Note that you won't be able to activate the quest unless your fame is relatively high.

For dezone you need between 22-26 quests done for bastok. Blazespike is a good quest to do aswell really easy, have a look here: When you start: Question?

Drain quest also needs fame, i think as much as dezone quest does.

In order to become more famous, quests do not necessarily have to be country specific. I have less than 10 quests done for Bastok and I finished the Dezone quest. An efficient way to gain fame is to do repeatable quests and advanced job quests.

This guide is really helpful, but could anyone be like, super-sweet, and post a picture of the 'wild onions' and 'rabbit tail'? My Japanese is pretty much non existent, so I kinda have to figure out items by the picture....

You should be careful if you try to distinguish items by their pictures, because not every item has a unique picture. And it is very difficult to describe those tiny pictures in words. :sweat:

If you are talking about the two items you need for blazespike, they are:

�?�C��h�I�j�I�� (wild onion, dropped by Goblin Thugs)
��u�̂�� (rarab tail, dropped by Bumble Bees)

Well, I guess what I meant was a picture of the whole item box. When people post pictures of items they generally post the whole thing and I can match up by the picture, and then verify I have the right thing by matching up the characters of the name.

How do you gain entry into the chateau? Everytime I try to enter it the guard in front prevents me from entering is there a quest I have to do or a number of missions or quests?

You need to be rank2 if you are Sandorian, or rank5 if your not.
