Childs Play quest - Port Jueno

Ok I am trying to do the followin quest:


* Child's Play
Client: Karl
(Port Jeuno)
Reward: Key Item - Wonder Magic Set
Solution:
See: The Wonder Magic Set
Buy a White Rock from any of the Goldsmith guilds
(Mhaura or Bastok Markets). Give one to Karl and you
will get the Wonder Magic Set in return.

But when i try to trade him the white rock he just wont take it. Is there any requirements to this quest that I should know about?

You must first apply for a Panta-putta quest in low Jeuno, maybe this quest need fame to be accepted.

I tried starting the other quest before it aswell but still with no luck. How do you get fame by the way o0

You get fame in the 3 starting cities by completing quests in those cities. In the case of Jeuno, it draws from those 3 cities to determine your fame as well. Dunno what the formula is.

I've completed 71 quests mostly in bastok and san doria, about 10 in windurst. I accepted the super cooking pot, but Karl still doesn't offer the quest. Only thing i can figure is the cooking pot quest has to be completed so that the taru kid asks for the magic set. If i'm wrong, please correct me because i'm trying to finish that quest.

Yes you are correct you need the pot first to get the Panta quest for the Magic Set
