Okay, I'm getting grr. I got that Selbina quest where you must fish to find a ring.. after having no luck fishing in town, I went out to the Siren Sands to try there. I caught three over the course of three hours, and none of them held the ring. I then just bought a 12 pack of greedie (the fish that are supposed to have the ring), hoping it didn't matter if I had fished them or not. None of -those- had it, either.

So, I'm lost. Can I just buy them? Must I fish for them? If so, is there a good bait to use? I've got a taru rod and a selbiki rig, but wasn't able to catch any greedie with it. I was able to catch with lugworms, but they were few and far between.

Any help would be appreciated!

You have to fish the fat greedy in the town of Selbina.
It's an EX item and untradable.
Use lugworms, Mineaux or Sinking Mineaux for baits.
Sabiki is for small fish, not for the fat one pbviously.

I broke my TaruTaru fishing rod trying to catch that thing. After that, I was so mad I just stopped fishing altogether. Still can't find the fash.

Although I have not tried it, so it may be wrong, I have heard that you must fish up 5 greedie's in Selbina. The 5th greedie will be the fat one.

I ended up doing this quest by random chance while just fishing for fun in selbina. The 5 greedie crap is bullshit. You just fish normally until you find a fat greedie and ya thats all there is to it. I found 4-5 fat greedies fishing for 3 hours so its not that rare. Unfortunately after you find the first one the rest you just have to toss
