40 MNK against 40 SAM - Final Fantasy XI :: Dreams in Vana'diel :: Community

Ok i have 2 questions here.
1. Who would win in a fight, a 40MNK or a 40SAM?
2. How would i beable to find out? I have herd there is a way for a player v player. BTW if it helps we are both in the same LS. Is this possible to do?

Seigan + third eye could obliterate a mnk/war

Hundread fists can rape any melee, but sam could have /thf and flee till it run off

It depends on subs and how it's played.

Brenner, Ballista etc etc for player Vs. player.

Also you can't just say "sam will pawn mnK" or vice versa, it comes down to the player and how well they know and use their job, equipment, tactics etc

Only way to find out who would win between the two of you is to fight it out.

Flee is level 25 THF, 50 main. SAM won't have Flee.

I'd still have to go with SAM. Meditate, Hasso, and Seigan are definitely an advantage.

Assuming base equipment, equal skill and no merits:

Lv 40 MNK:

- Boost, HP-Up II, Dodge, Focus, Martial Arts 3, Chakra
- Combo, Shoulder Tackle, One-Inch-Punch, Backhand Blow

Lv 40 SAM:

- Store TP II, Hasso, Seigan, Third Eye, Meditate.
- Tachi: Enpi, Hobaku, Goten, Kagero.

Both jobs have an A+ rated weapon and B+ evasion skill. MNK will have much higher HP and can pop Dodge along with THF sub to jack evasion. SAM can also do the same but use Seigan + Third Eye and quite possibly take little to no hits.

I'd still have to give it to the SAM. Meditate, Tachi Enpi -> Tachi Enpi = distortion and a good chunk of damage dealt.

Now that's assuming neutral factors; If the MNK has even one Hand to Hand merit then they'll gain access to Raging Fists, which will really skew things.

We would probably both sub WAR. Gear wise i have a Jujitsu Gi and Sitabaki. Republican head gear and foot ware. My mate who is the sam has royal squires stuff i think. Im not quite sure. Oh and we have no merits.
