I've only got BLM and BRD to 75, but from my experience a ton a black mages team up in Mount Zhaylom and xp/meripo against ebony puddings for awesome xp/limit points.

My question if for you ppl with other jobs that take notice on where your job can be found in clusters working with each other at high levels? ie: most monks team up and xp here, most nin team up and xp here, etc.

Just trying to get a better understanding where most of you 75's are getting your limit points from and if you team up with ppl of the same job.

Just about every WHM and PLD in the game gets thier merits in campaign because of idiotic party leaders.

I go to Caedarva Mire on BLU and feast on the blood of imps, they give very tasty EXP! Was doin close to 10k an hour today solo =P

When I had my DRG at 75, I would go to either Cape Terrigan and feast on anything over there since drg/blu pwns unless you get petrified them your screwed without a healer NPC. I don't really have any *set* place I use to go to, just find a place where mobs are DC-VT to a 75 and go to work. If I don't feel like soloing half a zone (because of aggro Cape Terrigan for example) I would do Campaign and tank like 3 or 4 of the little mobbies, while everyone else either tried to take hate or would tackle the boss.

All in all, since my drg can take on almost anything, I usually solo anywhere...

I vaguely remember seeing PLDs in two out of my last three merit parties on BRD. One WHM, too.

I started forming my own merit parties at 72PUP. I used thickets and would sub /DNC for AoE cure. I did crap dmg until I got Armor Piercer, but I'll hopefully be 75 and capped by this weekend.

It does bother me how stuck up people are when they hit 75. 25k/hr or DISBANDPARTIE

I'll take a pld/nin, rdm/whm, Brd/nin,Sam,Sam,pup any day, and get 20k and have fun.

#1: Jade Sepulcher Area of Mamool Ja Staging Point: High-chain XP requires good DDs; camp moves slightly north to south (from North flag to South flag). Can hit very high XP rates.

#2: Mamook Candescence Recovery Area FFXI-ATLAS Map #3, [I-8]: High-chain XP with similar mobs to Jade Sepulcher but with weaker wyvern mobs. Generally has better XP rate than #1, but with the extreme drawback that you cannot call for replacements because True Sight mobs guard entry to the area. Very good if you know exactly how long you're going to XP and have full compliance with said schedule (Static Meripo). The other problem with this camp is the complicated pulling pattern that sweeps from east to west and involves pulls that require the puller to traverse water which causes deagg. The water is also a good thing since you can use it to unlink a large pull. Make sure that all of the people in the party are aware that they should never touch the BLM NM that lives there since the strategy required to beat him involves running him out of MP (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Darting_Kachaal_Ja).

#3: Bhaflau Thickets Tandjana Islet Upper Tier Mamool Ja: High-chain XP with just Mamool Ja. A roving camp with a maximum XP rate of about 23kph if you kill all of the mooks without breaking the chain.

#4: Bhaflau Thickets Tandjana Islet Middle/Lower Tier Greater Colibri: High-chain XP with the weakest possible mob. These parties don't usually collect as much XP even with killing a whole tier of Colibri and leeching from the adjacent tier as the camps above, but it can run at about the same rate as #3. This is probably the safest meripo camp, but I usually find the XP in the lackluster 19-21kph range with your average pickup. The worst drawback to this camp is its popularity.

#5: Mamool Ja Staging Point Southern Area Camps: These camps make better fodder for the 71-74 range of people in my opinion due to the overwhelming Puk population which smothers XP rates for 75s. These camps are also more popular because it features two camp positions which encourages competition.

#6: 35-40 Cap East Ronfaure [s] Colibri and Ladybugs with 75 PL: This camp requires a PL, but can spike pretty high XP rates and it's accessible to non-75th level characters. I believe the camp is at the top of the [I-9]-[J-9] line. Not nearly as good of an XP rate as the above meripos, but it's versatility is unquestionable and it's not hideously popular.

Actually an all BLU or all DRG PT can work decently at Bird Camp if everyone is competent.

Many jobs can "burn", but 6 BRD party? Would that even be amusing?

I suppose with a proper Devotion cycle, WHM could even do it... but "what jobs can burn" really deserves its own thread.
