I came back to the game last month after having my account stolen back in march and getting it back in april, farming my gear back and taking a break at the end of may. Long story short, I'm back on my feet and yesterday after buying some expensive gear, i decided to test it out in a party.

I start lfp and get an invite within the first 5 mins. The inviter told me to go to Nyzul Isle ===> Caedarva Mire. So me of course not knowing where I'm going, I Runic Portal to Nyzul Isle and pull up the map on ffxiclopedia. I then realize that there's like 3 different exits to Ceadarva Mire so I send the guy a tell and the guy said hold up. He zones into the Undersea Ruins and tells me to come to him, which I do, and me and him waited for a 3rd person to come get us so we could follow him through the warps to the exit. We end up in Ceadarva Mire, and I decide to look into the party and see what the setup is, lo and behold everyone is /anon, not just 1 person the whole group. 2nd thing I notice was that of course none of them had real names, majority were all gibberish and they were mostly all in this linkshell that was mostly gibberish except the WHM. Nutriexrss, Barekusllty, Eienleysheyt, Jedrefedsy, and Nnwidfuwtkko were their names.

I check everybody in the group and I figure out our party setup was as follows: NIN,RDM,WHM,BLM,THF, and Me(72WAR/SAM). On the way to the spot the NIN aggros 1 Soulflayer and links about 3 then runs in front of 2 Imps and they link and all kill him of course. I got this party around 8:45PM EST and was there until around 11:30PM. During this amount of time, the NIN died 4x, the WHM died 2x, the THF died 3x. WHM died from using Benediction when the nin decided to fight one of the many Soulflayers that fought the party which killed him, If i hadn't had Steel Cyclone, I believe he would've killed the RDM and BLM too. I parsed the entire fight, all the mages were basically doing was healing, barely any haste/protectra/shellra/ BLM however would launch a mean nuke occasionally, hitting the imps for 600-900ish each.

All in all, if we hadn't gotten aggro from about 8 soulflayers it may have actually been a good party, but majority of the time we spent waiting for the nin or the thf to get raised an weakness to wearoff. Luckily I survived without dying :D

did you notice if when they were finished they all logged off at same time? maybe bots?

There aren't any bots that can pull, interact, guide people to camps, etc.

Don't think so, when 11:30 came i asked the BLM for a D2 and he warped me. As far as I know, they were still out there when I left party. Majority of the party nobody said anything cept the thief apologizing for aggroing Soulflayers once or twice so I just figured maybe they were all JPs.

I had K-Parser on the fight and I was glad about it, I got to look back and see who did what. Funny thing was I tanked about as much as the nin, and at the same time, I took about the same amount of damage as he did. I used Seigan Third Eye 90 times and he used Utsusemi NI 90 times and Utsusemi Ichi 10 times.

I've seen bots pull and repond to ppl.

I was once in a party with an idiot that was trying to run 4 characters at once including the WHM and PLD....

lol now i hadn't thought of that. I remember a friend of mine when he was leveling his DRG sometime last year, he got in a party in Crawlers Nest with 5 people with no subjob, so we definently knew they were RMT. I think he was in his mid 40's at the time so at that level those peeps really should've had a subjob long ago.

True. One party I observed for a half-hour one time was in Yhoator Jungle, 5 WHM's and 1 WAR, all with gimp gear less than 15 but they all had pilgrims wands and mp healing gear. All signed on at same time and d/c'd at same time....if that was all one person they have skills.

I'm surprised you didn't wipe more often. That camp is rough on people that know what they're doing, let alone idiots that don't. It's a good way to get an idea on Khim tod though I guess. lol

Oh yeah that reminds me speaking of Khim......He was out while we were out there. Not too long after the NIN died the first time and we were waiting on the NIN to stop being weakened, the THF walked off and said "Checking out this NM" "Khimera what does it drop?" That was one of the only other things that anybody in the party said.
