Small rant / concern

Well I know that this may not be a big deal but I wanted to get your opinions from a RDM perspective. So here is the Deal. I was working on my 56 RDM/WHM today and after a few mins of waiting for a pty I decided to start one my self. I warped to Whitegate and was able to put a pretty decent pty together. We had RDM (leader , ME) , SCH, DRK, THF,MNK and PLD. Now to me I figured this is an ok set up. I only had a 3/6 refresh and pty agreed to only hasting the MNK which to me was weird but I didn't complain. So you would think that I could do my debuffs and manage the Pty no problem. So off we go to Wajaom to fight lesser colibri. We get there and everyone knows thier role and we start fighting. As the fight progresses I see our PLD only using flash and sheild bash on the mob. He was letting our MNK provoke , and then to top it off after 2 fights he had a full MP bar. Now here I was fully drained and Convert used up. So I stop the PTY and tell the PLD "Look you need to start using the MP or I will not be wasting a refresh on you. ( Obviously Iwas going to refresh him but just wanted him to help heal himself at least). So he says ok and then not 2 fights later the same thing is happening. By this time the MNK is saying PROVOKE PLEASE in pty chat, and I am getting tells from the THF saying that I should tell the PLD to pull his weight. So once again I stop the pty and tell the PLD look you gotta keep hate , use your MP if we are going to have any chance of getting good EXP out of this pty. This happens to go on for like 4 more fights finally THF sends tell saying he has got to go. So I agree and he gets rep. New thf. So we continue fighting and The painful play style of the PLD continues. Then at this point the PLD decided to become a puller for some reason and pulls in a second mob ater New THF has one incoming. Needless to say I burn through my MP and convert rather quickly and MNK winds up dieing. I raise him before second colibri dies and then when we are resting the DRK decides he had enough and leaves. At this point I decided to disband pty and I soon after logged out

So my point is this After warning the PLD 3 times that he not doing his job, Being that we are at lvl 55+, Should I have kicked him and look for new tank? I have lead quite a few ptys over my time in game but never really had this bad of a tank that Iwas ready to kick him. Should I have kicked him? By far the worse pty in my fifties in the last few months.

Regardless of being asked, warned and threatened Dahc's PLD wouldn't use his MP and, worse, the PLD decided to start pulling without giving the PTs THF any notice on the matter.

Should you have kicked him?

Absolutely. The PLD was not playing is role properly. In fact, it almost sounds like somone unfamilar with PLD was playing and not the person who really owned the account. I'd hope that if one made it to 55, they'd have some inkling of how to play PLD.

But then, I've said the same about other jobs and I've been proven wrong.

I'm not sure why this is in the RDM forum. But to answer your question, yes. He was a bad player.

Reason why it is in the RDM forums is that I am RDM and I was leader, and I wanted a point of view from RDM perspective. I wanted to be sure that I was not just being an A hole to the guy, but for me I felt I and the rest of the pty was doing what needed to be done. I am use to being the main healer and sometimes the only /WHM so I don't have a problem healing but was just blown away as to how fast I was burning MP

The thing is, it doesn't matter what job you were. He was a bad player, and should have been removed from the party. When one party member isn't pulling their weight, especially a crucial job like tank or main healer, that's when the entire party is going to really feel it.

I agree, the pty went from a good set up to having everyone pissed off and wanting to leave. I guess my biggest beef is that at lvl 55+ I figured the days of being unsure how to do your job or at least unwillingness to take input from pty members was over and done with. Iknow for myself if I didn't perform right I would expect to be booted from pty. I don't want to ruin anyones playing experience by booting them but on the same token I want to be able to get my lvl.

No not disillisioned but mainly frustrated with the idiots. I seriously want to hit 60 within the next few days and this pty just went to crap and frustrated me to no end

I would have had very little tolerance for stupidity at level 55. He would have gotten one warning, then the boot.
