Its great to see one get one off and watch an entire alliance drop to red or zero. Its even better when the Shadow Ring procs and I get hit with it for 0. All that usually means though is that I die last.

Anyway... Carbuncle had one of those no-general wins last night against a level 7 Undead Swarm. It's pretty intense having everyone at the Hall of Binding trying to drag ghosts, qutrub or whatever back outside so it doesn't get too close to the AC. Lamia No. 3 was right there in the square outside the Hall charming dozens of people, but we somehow managed to keep her out of the Hall and kill enough other mobs to force a retreat.
Undead Swarm (at least at level 7) now have these big yellow clockwork-like things, sort of like an automaton the size of a full grown Troll. They're called Acroliths, if I recall correctly, but I didn't see much of their TP moves. And yes, a level 7 besieged that retreats goes back home and immediately has 85 enemy forces. It's too early to tell if that's going to lead to more frequent besiegeds overall. Defeated: Maat, Divine Might, Fenrir, Kirin, Cactrot Rapido, Xolotl, Diabolos Prime, Kurrea, 9/10 Dynamis Bosses (missing Tav), Promathia, Proto-Ultima, Proto-Omega, 4 Jailers, Apocalypse Nigh

For God's sake, if I see another <pos> I'm going to strangle the person that said it. Those of us whom have not memorized which <pos> goes where will have to open up their map and look up the damn thing to know what area someone is talking about, which is enough time to get killed. Badly.
It's alot more helpful to state the actual location. i.e. Southern Choco area, hall of binding square, stuff to that effect. At least don't make us pull out our maps and scroll all over the damn place just to know where the last remaining general is @.@ | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-11-2007, 06:16 PM | #53 (permalink) | | Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: Al'Taieu Posts: 2,689 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 465 Thanked 448x in 312 Posts Gil: 5,673 Bank: 41,001 Total Gil: 46,674 Donate | Re: Besieged Tips I just keep spamming "/tell Aksannyi <pos>" to myself as I walk further, that way I know roughly where I am. ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~Aksannyi~~Hades~~75WHM~75RDM~62WAR~71BLM~~Mama Gamer~~<3 Cerealkiller~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-11-2007, 08:17 PM | #54 (permalink) | | factcheck.org Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Oct 2004 Posts: 6,912 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 1,707 Thanked 1,544x in 1,078 Posts Gil: 12,291 Bank: 577,882 Total Gil: 590,173 Donate | Re: Besieged Tips | Quote: | Actually, he said... Anyway, descriptions of the location don't make sense to someone who speaks a different language, but (|Galka|) (|General|) (|Help me out!|) G-7 is understandable to anyone. Not saying that your friend is a blind pig. But 1-for-1 isn't a big enough statistical sampling to show that your friend can exactly predict the start time for Besieged.
Note also that 60 seconds is a large enough window so that an estimate (such as 32 minutes) can appear to be exact rather than simply pretty good. If he told you how much longer in minutes and seconds correctly multiple times, then I might be as impressed as you seem to be.
But then, I'm a skeptic. Lyonheart

One thing I have noticed while doing beseiged thats highly stupid. Is people /sh their XP bonus and/or IS bonus after the event. WHO THE HELL CARES??!!
But in general I am enjoying Beseiged, Iv now done a few solo and a few in parties.
I wonder if anyone has done any tests to see how many Cure IV's you need to cast to get max XP for each level

I never said he was my friend. I said "someone in my alliance for a Besieged."
That doesn't mean I know him. Originally Posted by hongman | | Now, if some people could kindly go and rescue the free Warp Taru and Chocobo NPC on Bahamut I would greatly appreciate it!!" | I would recommend using the older brother.
Did you know that if you use him enough times, he'll eventually give you a 2nd destination?

I would rather use the free taru than having to keep buying Silver coins, for the sake of a short run from just outside Jeuno. Hell it takes me longer to get through the lag at the AH in WG than to just run it!
Handy to know about the second destination though. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-13-2007, 06:51 AM | #60 (permalink) | | Pointy Stick Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Portland, OR Posts: 2,004 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 450 Thanked 359x in 221 Posts Gil: 15,968 Bank: 57,749 Total Gil: 73,717 Donate | Re: Besieged Tips If you have outpost warps unlocked, the pay taru can get you pretty much anywhere in the world in a few minutes.
also, @ 100 ISP per coin, the silver pieces aren't too expensive.
