ISNM75 - Shadows of the Mind

Did this last night with:

PLD75, SMN75, BLM75, BLM75, WHM75, RDM75
(forever dubbed as the RDM HORROR PARTY. Grats to Terris, our RDM, for not having an aneurysm when he saw the set-up.)

We didn't break any records, but we won 2/2 with an average time of 11-14 minutes.

Observations:

The main puk didn't hit the pld hard. Only when it used its cloning move and spawned others did the pld take a beating and have his hp drop fast. Otherwise, hit him about the same as a regular puk and used the same moves.

Party slightly paniced when the smn brought out Garuda. "Wind cures them!" was pretty much shouted in /party. Then the smn used Predator Claws and made us eat crow. Moral of the story: Trust in your SMN.

The clones hate was kind of wierd. Typically, when the main puk would clone, the clones would go after the pld. Somehow, in each fight, the puks would spawn in and go after the smn (killing him >.<). We discussed it in our second battle and the smn said he only released Garuda after hitting the main puk with Predator Claws about the same time the puk cloned itself. Could it be that the clones' hate is on the last person to create hate on the main? The main puk never left the pld.

Two blms are awesome for this ISNM. Our two would alternate Thunderga III for the cloning move and one shot all the clones.

I'm glad I had Terris with me on his rdm/whm to help back up cure. His quick Cure III/Cure IV helped a lot to keep the pld alive until I could get a Cure V off. That and Phalanx II on the tank. :D

Decent drops, just no sword, which was our purpose for doing this. So we'll be heading back when we get more IP.
